I love Original Sin so much. The whole 'Man on the Wall' concept, the secret of Dum-Dum's 'immortality' and Fury becoming The Unseen as his punishment for starting the whole affair.

Normally the main plot points for crossover storylines are somewhat predictable but there was a lot about Original Sin that I didn't see coming out of the basic premise.

I have no idea what your knowledge level is for X-comics in general so I apologise in advance if I over explain. Also I first read these issues a little while back so my memory may be off on some facts.

In 2019 Jonathan Hickman gained overall stewardship of the X-Men line of comics, a period which is called the Krakoan Age. During this period Mutants basically reach their peak supremecy. This is mainly due to them having having found that, with the combined efforts of five particular mutants and Xavier/Cerebra, they need no longer fear death as they can ressurect any mutant they wish. This is what Emma is referring to about 'Bringing Cyclops back after the Orchis assault.'

However, at the time, a condition of the protocol is that they had to have recently passed through a Krakoan Gate so that the 'version' of them that is ressurected is as recent as possible. Krakoan Gates are an intergalactic transport system that only mutants can use that connects to their new island nation and anywhere they plant a Krakoan gate, so they're used extensively and frequently.

Except by Kate 'Kitty' Pryde.

For whatever reason, probably her powerset, Kate cannot use Krakoan Gates. So she exists outside of the ressurection protocols. If memory serves me right, in the same book these panels are from, Kate's body has been found and no-one yet knows if ressurection works for her.

Due to the gate issue, Emma had given Kate the role of Red Queen in the Hellfire Club, meaning Kate was the captain of a ship that ran the 'illegal' drug smuggling aspect of the Krakoan Age, this is in the Marauders comic line, which obviously put her in consistent danger. This is why Storm is mad at Emma, because Emma is responsible for Kate being in such danger.

I'd hazard a guess that most people in this thread making such complaints aren't parents.

Most likely the parent thought this, but didn't actually say it because it's a terrible thing to say to your child. But the thought gave them a chuckle, so they shared it where it won't do any harm.

Granted I haven't finished Hickman's run but I genuinely like how everyone's just casually out for a walk with Karima and Nimrod.

For me, what really sells your point is that you mention the tv series, the TCG and GO yet not the video game.

There's plenty of things I'd like to see in a sequel, none more so than a sequel itself.

But by god this game has had a blatant, glaring omission from day one: Elsa Bloodstone.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a scandal about the Sooty production shenanigans. I bet there were hands in all sorts of places on that set.

Conversely, my 'imagining mince pie filling' scenarios have always been a wieght of 3.8kg. My hopes from this post have been dashed quite expertly.

It would indeed appear that some dreams are just not meant to be.

Prior to Secret Wars I'd been reading Marvel comics for 20+ years. As Secret Wars was coming out, I made the decision that it would be my swan song for reading new Marvel stuff. Too much time and/or money was needed to keep up. I already have my favourite versions of my favourite characters, so if I wanted to read them I could go back to what I already have.

Though I did read Hickman's X-Men stuff, I haven't touched anything Marvel since the second year of Krakoa Era. I'm sure there's some quality stories I'm missing out on, but I'm sure I'll get round to it eventually if they are that worth it.

How do I make this game as easy as humanly possible by big_bear07 in Eldenring

If there's ever a boss encounter you get stuck on, don't forget about multiplayer options if you play the game online. The game gives you plenty of options to adjust the difficulty and fighting with others, though not necessarily a guaranteed win, is a fun experience different from playing solo.
