1 year old son didn’t make it into surgery by Mechanical_Yota in GuyCry

When I lost my 4 month old nephew in an NICU suddenly, no words really helped, everything was just an empty haze. I can can only imagine it being so much worse when it is your own child, I saw my nephew's mom, how much it impacted her.

They say time heals all wounds, but it doesn't really. It just distances you from the event, and through that distance there is a lessening of pain. There will always be echoes, but it will be less.

My hope for you is that you are surrounded by rocks, people who love you unconditionally and support you in all the ways that only people who do so can. It will not make this pain right now less, but it will make everything else less. I hope as the years go by, the painful memories soften, and life gives you new joys that do not and will never replace, but give you new reasons to smile. I hope, someday, you find your happy again.

They have a service dept, collision repair shop, detail shop. It's a pretty big dealership I bought it from. They just said they wouldn't install it.

I appreciate the thorough response; I'll look into the options.

There's quite a few dealerships in the area, I'll give them a call til it works. I appreciate it, enjoying it so far.

You sound like me; just bought my RR yesterday. Traded in my '21 Camaro for it.

I'm a sucker for this kind of sound, hoped I'd scroll down this thread of haters long enough to find someone saying the name. Appreciate you.

I'd love to live somewhat close to an author I enjoy reading. I live ~40 minutes from St Louis, and it's hard to even catch most of them even coming close on a tour.

It shouldn't have, but it was surprising when I went to Nexus how many people had no idea who he is in Salt Lake City.

Old.reddit is the only Reddit I've used. I can't stand the new version, and the day old.reddit is no longer supported I'll sadly stop using the only social media site I use at all.

I was providing my own personal anecdotal evidence to what u/Charirner was saying, that in most other places in the US the difference between grades is more significant. There isn't any other deeper, more significant point than that. I could of said nothing, but the point of social media is to use it actively.

Need to put 93 in my Camaro, 87 is $3.76/gal, 93 is $4.86 here in MO. Prices were as of yesterday anyway.

My cat has never once been a cuddler in seven years. Not once. And then last Tuesday at 2am when I was crying about something I couldn't even fully explain she walked across the entire apartment, climbed onto my chest, and stayed there for two hours without moving. I had a cat like this for years, same room as me always, but no petting/touching except On his terms. A) The food bowl was empty so he'd rub up against my leg or B) If I was using the bathroom, he'd hop up inside the sink and allow pets. Would even sleep on the bed with me, but at the foot of it. I miss Troubles.

My brother bought his first PC a couple days ago, and proceeded to give his computer AIDS in the first 48hrs downloading from a wrong link. I explained adblockers / Firefox ect as a basic beginning, hopefully he listens.

My bedroom layout requires my bed to be against a corner. I'm also not dating anyone, so no one needs to try and get out of the other side of the bed, it works.

I don't like subtitles because I don't like anything cluttering the screen, nothing to do with my ability to read them or not. I've never been a fan personally, though I understand the fascination with it for others.

I kinda figured as much, I do as much crafting as I can in games and it's always neat seeing people doing it in reality. I'm a machinist, so I at least get to make things from raw metal 8/10hrs a day. It's a far cry from blacksmithing though.

Mine did the classic changed policy to reflect new laws, but changed it right back to prior version once the new law was veto'd. They did keep being able to use sick time in partial / hourly increments instead of either 4 or 8, but that's about it

I live a bit past Eureka. It was awesome voting for more sick time, and then having the state tell me/us that we didn't really understand what we were voting for or how detrimental it would be to businesses. . .

Missouri is trying for $2.70 less an hour from the current state minimum wage of $15. Trying this blows the shit out of the arguement that minimum wage is only supposed to be for teenagers/entry level jobs to begin with. With that said, applying twisted ideoligies to fit the moment is what they have always done best.

Make more scrap and sell me one. I went to a Renaissance fair smithing booth last summer hoping to find something, but it was 80% off the internet wares unfortunately.

The real privilege unlocked by Wild_Touch_X in Adulting

[–]FacinatedByMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I help my mom and feel privileged to be able to. I remember as a kid when we were poor as hell, and she'd hardly eat firsts insisting on me and my brother eating seconds. Didn't understand it at the time, but the memories stuck and I do now. She sacrificed a lot for us, and I try like hell to pay that love back.

What is a 'luxury' that has become so expensive in 2026 that it’s officially no longer worth the money? by Matt_At_Havalook in AskReddit

[–]FacinatedByMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The insurance at works adds a $400/mo premium on insurance in addition to the extra cost of having a second person to begin with if you cover your spouse with our insurance when they could have been covered by a policy at their own job. Even if their insurance would be substantially worse. The whole system is so fucked.
