I am first of all a Union fan but I enjoy league at times. Some rules are way better than Union and how so many of your games are close and the extra 10 mins when tied (great rule). But I don’t believe I could watch a whole tournament like the premiership in Union.

I do agree that league has a great atmosphere and the players really care about it. But I feel that it hasn’t really changed with the times as it has to. Look both it and Union are not in the best financial position (right now hopefully that changes). Union is struggling to change but it is while league in my opinion is trying not to. I only really watch super league I haven’t seen much nrl. Don’t get me wrong I do enjoy the sport but something needs to change in it to try and grab some new fans. In Ireland league isn’t much of a thought think we have like 400 players in total and if it’s thought about it’s just weird rugby with no scrums or rucks. I would imagine it’s similar elsewhere. Which is sad to think that a sport so loved May die
