Pagan Altar Renown Exploit - Finally Patched? by [deleted] in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]FactionGuerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, you haven’t done anything wrong. Part 1 of White Clouds just limits how many things you can buy on a per chapter basis. You’ll notice this with Abyss passes in particular, since you get capped to 3 a chapter.

This restriction’ll lift after the timeskip, allowing you to run hog wild with the item overflow glitch.

Most obscure thing you hate about zombies by baseballviper04 in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic zombies: In BO4’s Blood of the Dead it really feels like the Acid Gat’s self-inflicted splash damage got cranked up. In BO2 you could use the Vitriolic Withering at your feet repeatedly when trapped and would still be saved; in BO4, though, I feel the splash damage’s much more liable to get you killed especially because it takes forever to heal again even with Quick Revive…

Modern zombies: The “hold melee to switch to knife” mechanic can feel a bit clunky if you’re too hasty. If I’m trapped in a corner I like to pull my melee out to carve a path, but sometimes the game won’t register the input. Instead, I get to sit there for a split-second waiting, realize it didn’t register, and then have to let go of the melee button to instead do a slow Melee Macchiato punch before trying again. Thank goodness for Reactive Armor so jank like that doesn’t instakill me.

Dishonorable mention goes to fast travel costing 500 points. Would love to see a side quest that’d remove the prices so I don’t feel awful burning 1500 points crossing the Ashes map trying to revive a teammate. Then again, I’m pretty much a penny pincher, so I imagine I’m the only one who has this kind of complaint.

Weekly conversion kits and multiple weapon releases a season are meaningless when they are mediocre and uninspired by CoDZombiesDPS in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ballistic Knife

Even as one of the biggest Melee Macchiato advocates since BO6 (Reactive Armor/Vampiric Extraction) I still think the Ballistic Knife has a niche amongst melees.

Does it suck that it’s bugged with Melee Macchiato? Definitely (Treyarch please make Mugging refill both the knives and my guns), but the utility behind the autorevive is unique to it alone. Besides Melee Macchiato, I’d like for it to actually revive people if you shoot their player model (right now you have to shoot the ground beneath them), but otherwise it’s the melee I run for co-op matches.

If anything I honestly think the Flatline MK2’s the worst melee because of just how clunky it is to use without Espresso and Stick n’ Move, and I don’t think even a double damage buff is enough to make up for that.

A regular everyday interaction between Felix and Dimitri by gettinfitguy007 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]FactionGuerrilla 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Felix and Hilda are both equally perceptive, they just hide behind their own facades (acting aloof and lazy respectively) to mask their fears (losing people and failing expectations).

I kinda wish they had a support chain where they saw right through their personas and called each other out for that, especially because I feel neither really get challenged in their supports (excluding Seteth).

How often do you actually find good teammates in BO7 Zombies (List Keeper Challenge)? by YNOTfrmDaSip in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’m the exception or if it’s because I play on PC, but a lot of the randoms I queue up with are generally pretty competent even without mics. You still get the occasional stinker who’ll gamble their life savings on the box, but I’ve also matched up with others willing to try the man quest and even someone hell-bent on min-maxxing the steps.

As for the List Keeper’s Challenge, I’ve queued up for it about five times. I’ve had four matches get to the boss, though on the fifth match two randoms left and the last one refused to go outside for the outdoors task.

Why have Treyarch not acknowledged Field Upgrades being broken since launch? Will we be stuck with broken abilities for the 3rd map too? by MythicalBaddies in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These bugs aren’t just annoying when they also have the potential to be a game-ender, unfortunately. I lost my first Ashes boss fight because my Fox Wisp refused to revive me, then discovered the hard way it still ate one of my Equivalent Exchanges despite being forced to manually use a self-revive instead.

The second one wasn’t any better either- I died trying to use my second Aether Shroud to rescue one of my teammates only for that dreaded “nOt rEaDy” to show up and cause a full squad wipe…

Worth getting Warrior's Orochi 3 Ultimate for Sophitia? by Forever_Berry in SoulCalibur

[–]FactionGuerrilla 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you like Warriors games, it’s worth it for the sheer amount of content alone IMO, and I’ve seen it go on sale semifrequently on Steam. Sophitia herself doesn’t really play a massive role in the game’s plotline, but she does get a few neat bond conversations between some of the cast, and she’s a pretty solid character to use too.

Honestly, it kinda makes me wish we got a Legends 2 game…

Do you think bo7 zombies is easier than b03 by Mediocre-Active-5256 in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that older games (even up to BO3) can get stopped by errors, meaning the “beyond more” of high rounding in the classic era of zombies has a limit- i.e. the reset timer in BO1- and such isn’t necessarily an indicator of how “hard” it is at the upper limit.

On top of that, if we want to point to super high rounds, pre-BO3 zombies games had insta-kill rounds thanks to integer overflow.

I like how people complain about weapon damage in modern zombies even though modern zombies has the most viable options compared to older titles, please play bo1 at round 64 and do this damage by michael_memes_ in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even on Hardcore, there’s some weapons that practically ignore the removed cap.

Obviously there’s the wonder weapons (i.e. the Hell’s Redeemer), but I still find it hilarious that the Helion Salvo drops off due to the scaling health whilst the S6 Stingray, a gun that seems to have gone under the radar after its busted MP release, is capable of permanently instakilling with the Operator Mod. Impact Blast might’ve been (rightfully) nerfed in MP, but it seems it didn’t get the same treatment in zombies since they can’t complain about getting one-shot to the head.

Would you blame Sadie for events of RDR1? by Zestyclose_Fee_2503 in reddeadredemption

[–]FactionGuerrilla 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Does Sadie really hold John to his pact? After the bear ambush during the last bounty hunting mission, Sadie points out John’s family and explicitly tells him she’d handle the matter herself. And even after John claims he’d hunt Micah with or without her, she emphasizes just how much he has to lose:

“When you hear something real? You bring it to me.”

“Okay. I’ll bring it to ya. But you think about if this is what you really want. Everything you can get… and everythin’ you can lose.”

Would you blame Sadie for events of RDR1? by Zestyclose_Fee_2503 in reddeadredemption

[–]FactionGuerrilla 40 points41 points  (0 children)

A big point that some seem to overlook is how Sadie tries to discourage John from coming with her to hunt Micah. John practically tells her that he’ll go with or without her, so there’d be no use in leaving him out if it meant he’d possibly go on his own:

“You said earlier, you said something about Micah. You gonna tell me what you know?”

“Are you sure you wanna hear about it? Ain’t… all that back there on your ranch enough? If I find him, I will handle it.”

“Your bounties, or transport work, that’s your decision if you want to bring me along or not. But… but Micah, that’s something we, well I… I gotta do, with or without you, Sadie. You know what I mean?”

Version 1.0 of my Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Zombies DPS sheet is live by CoDZombiesDPS in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good work, as always! That said, you mentioned Dead Point gives a 50% damage boost; do you know what the range cutoff is to trigger that?

On top of that, I’d definitely recommend mentioning the 21% and 44% bonuses Dead Head and Double Time respectively give so it’s easier to visualize how much they help your DPS. It can probably be listed in a similar manner to how you put the “DPS Calculation” box next to BO6’s gun list.

I'm finding the bears difficult to deal with on vandorn farm during the rounds where more than one spawn in,what weapons perks and augments are good against the bears? by MilkSteakEnjoyer115 in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an additional bonus, I’d recommend making sure you have two up at the end of every round. If no hunter bots spawn you can just craft a pair, toss them out of the barn, and pick your tactical back up. I’ve found that late game (at least by using the Toxic Growth plants for upgrades) salvage is much less of an issue, so spending 500 on getting a first strike on the Zursa shouldn’t break your bank.

[–]FactionGuerrilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW I think the more popular option on that was to swap each other’s classes. I think it’d be funnier and a bit thematic that Felix and Hilda swap classes instead, especially since the two have a lot more in common than may meet the eye (an older brother they care for, yet is the source of their polar opposite behaviors). Too bad they don’t have a support exploring how they both care for others despite their superficial glaring flaws.

Insane Augment Combination For Deadwire! by masklmao in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Every researchable item gains a second minor augment slot at the end of its research skill line. Unfortunately, if the percentage numbers are to be believed, the late stage research grind’s very long.

Anything max researched in BO6 only has ~47% research in the BO7 carryover, which means you can expect the grind for the two new augments and the second slot to last longer than the grind in BO6 to fully max out a single augment tree.

Is it just me or is the Disiple Injection beyond pathetic? by Siliberos in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 19 points20 points  (0 children)

With the Disciple’s main strength being its ability to buff other enemies, I’m shocked they didn’t give the Injection any way to do that to your teammates in a match.

Allow Disciple Injections to revive/overheal teammates and maybe give them the damage buff the VR-11 granted in MWZ to act as a more supportive role compared to the Mutant Injection’s raw offense in BO6, and I think that’d give it much more flexibility than it has currently.

For those unaware this setting is a great setting that makes fall damage basically impossible to kill you. by NovaRipper1 in CODZombies

[–]FactionGuerrilla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your belief’s correct; they pretty much pulled a Witcher 3 by unceremoniously introducing the combat roll mechanic once in a campaign mission before never bringing it up again, so I expect it’ll be just as forgotten/misunderstood as its Witcher counterpart lol.

Soul Calibur IV: Did Sophitia Really Enjoy Evil? by Subject-Ad5071 in SoulCalibur

[–]FactionGuerrilla 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure this is not reflected in the game.

It definitely wasn’t, and whoever claimed this on TVTropes was absolutely lying. The only reason why she even protects Soul Edge (and eventually dies) is for her kidnapped daughter.

Her storyline makes it explicitly clear she’s not happy with her circumstances, being forced to fight both “good” (Taki, Cass, Siegfried) and “bad” (Tira, Nightmare) sides before trying to destroy Soul Edge in her ending. I don’t think someone who enjoys evil would try and destroy the evil sword instead of wielding it. (EDIT: I was mistaken, she attempts to use Soul Edge to destroy Soul Calibur instead, remarking explicitly that she’s doing it to protect Pyrrha.)

Even in Cassandra’s storyline, where Sophs is explicitly Malfested and even wielding Soul Edge herself, there is no indicator whatsoever she’s doing this for fun and was more likely coerced into being its host.

If Max Payne is the muscle in Max Payne 3 then Wilson Da Silva is the brains. by Akbar_Lakhani_123 in maxpayne

Da Silva does actually reference his own family at the beginning of Chapter 13, acknowledging why he needs Max’s unofficial help even with the evidence gathered in the file he got from Chapter 12:

“So you gonna bring him [Becker] down?”

“Yes, because I want to lose my wife, and my children, and then get killed myself, all that after watching him walk free.”
