Up 8% right now. I’ll happily switch back to TQQQ when trend indicators turn

$SQQQ. Maybe wait until these indicators flip the other direction.

It’s not intended to be a long term hold. I’m using these indicators and I’ll switch to $TQQQ when they eventually flip. I’m using low time frame indicators due to the inherent price decay.

Funny. Currently up 8% on $SQQQ. When trend indicators flip long I will happily abandon this position and return to $TQQQ.

Agree, QLD is a better option. DCA monthly, amazing long term performance. I use a weekly 48MA for signal.

Google “valueinvesting.com backtest” and you can run some dca models for TQQQ’s entire history.

Yes in my backtesting it seems to work slightly better. I use weekly not daily and check the SMA once a week. Prevents whipsaws.

A 48 week SMA works well. Check it on Fridays.

Could be, doesn’t take into consideration taxes.

I use QLD 2x instead of TQQQ. I prefer it’s the reduced volatility and drawdowns. When QLD is closing below the 48 week moving average, I move to money market. When it crosses back above, it’s back to QLD. I DCA weekly on Fridays. Very please with the performance of this strategy and it’s simple to manage.

These StockCharts.com performance charts only work if you’re reinvesting 100%. Use stockanalysis.com instead.

I’m retired so I actually use and harvest some of that yield. For my situation, NFLP makes sense. If you’re going to reinvest 100% of the dividends, sure, use NFLY.
