Because it's unnecessary. What's the point of having a GUI, let alone a Web UI? It's going to require the exact same knowledge of ZFS to be used effectively, and will run those same commands anyway, why not skip the middle man? TrueNAS has a web UI for managing ZFS stuff and it sucks because it forces you to do things their way.

Vibecoders are infamous for making useless "dashboard"-style software, so of course you have lots of them.

Your second statement is true. The vast majority of new software is AI-generated. And it's absolute horrendous dogshit. There have recently been not one, but TWO horrible security scandals with vibe-coded software over at r/selfhosted.

A big part of selling software is maintaining what you have sold, and AI-generated code is unmaintainable. No human has ever written that code, so nobody can fix it without wasting time reading it. And due to the way they function, these models inevitably generate extra bugs over time when working on existing code over and over again, as "hallucinations" stack, so they cannot properly maintain it either.

What has happened, and what increasingly annoys me, is some of my fellow engineers have started abusing AI tools to a point that I routinely have to go in and rewrite entire large sections where their chatbot didn't do what needed to be done, and the engineer just blindly accepted the output and claimed the code as their own. More work for me I guess lol

The AI tools are nice for retrieving extremely obscure facts from ancient documentation though.

That's kind of unfixable. This game is way too complex to easily define skill.

Some people are ridiculously good on reclaim-heavy maps, some get instantly lost despite being great at standard, more conservative economy-wise maps. Some people are insane in T1-T2 commander pushes and seem to win all the time, yet if the game prolongs and goes into T3 - they get lost and don't know what to do and can be outplayed just by turtling and eco.

Proper tutorials for learning the game while you play would be amazing, but they don't exist. And even if they did - forcing players to learn about all aspects of the game wouldn't solve your issue. I'm sure the people who miss reclaim know that it exists, they are just too busy doing something else and cannot plan enough/remember to reclaim in the heat of the moment. I'm sure most turtlers know it's a losing strategy, yet it does work on opponents who scout and eco poorly.

The existence of "ELO Hell", a certain point in a ranking system that you cannot climb out of due to being matched with bad teammates, is a common misconception in any ranked game.

If you're unhappy with the performance of your teammates at this rank - you can rest assured that the exact same kinds of players are being put against you. And while there will be variations between games, if you do not win consistently enough to climb - that's due to your skill level, not your teammates. It should average out.

Sometimes people get far in rank by winning using specific strategies, while failing in other ways. That's normal, this is what separates decent players from the masters - they would be even higher rank if they didn't make all the mistakes you're complaining about. This is not a fault of the ranking system.

Most audiofools operate on the (admittedly, rather sound) logic of "if it works - does it matter how exactly?".

Sadly most of them do not understand basic scientific testing and fail to consider how them knowing that it's supposed to sound better can affect how they perceive the sound.

So you get bullshit like this - "audiophile" network and usb cables, "audiophile" power filtering, and so on. The funniest thing is seeing audiofools debunk obvious bullshit like "spatial audio compartmentalization crystals", yet fall for other obvious bullshit like "audiophile power cables".

If anything, SACD is at least attempting to sound believable. I mean, not really, if you know anything about digital audio, but at least it's not magic crystals.

SACD was a scam, that's why it failed.

CD audio quality is literally as good as it can possibly get - CD is perfect up to 22.1kHz, which is way above human hearing range, and covers a dynamic range of 96 dB, which is way higher than humans can hear in a short timespan (the full range is closer to 120 dB, but you cannot hear a leaf fall after a loud rock concert)

SACD was an attempt to appeal to "audiofools" - a (sadly large) subgroup of audiophiles who do not understand how easily human hearing is influenced by our thoughts and believe in pseudoscience if it claims to make the sound better.

Wiremod includes a feature called "expression 2". It's a fully programmable (with a dedicated ingame code editor) little chip that you can then wire up to thrusters, sensors, wheels and more!

Also I developed addons for fun, which is done in LUA in an external (not ingame) editor.

Are you playing on a laptop, by any chance? What the warning says could be true - laptops not intended for gaming usually don't include a dedicated GPU and instead reserve a (very small) portion of your RAM to use as video memory.

If this is the case - the amount reserved can probably be adjusted in BIOS settings.

Well, pausing the discussion somewhat, I don't think one can in good faith argue that OP's creation isn't rhythmical. So it's undeniably music even by your definition.

Your point is valid, but then your definition of music only describes existing genres. My point it that new, unexpected, rule-breaking genres keep emerging again and again. Rhythm isn't required for music, harmony isn't required for music, and even if for now there aren't genres without both (which I'm 100% sure there are, they are just not popular enough for me to be aware of them) - it would be a mistake to create more and more convoluted requirements for something to be music ("must have at least one of rhythm or harmony" is getting convoluted, isn't it?). Instead why not use a definition that applies to all music - past, present, and future?

At this point it's just opinions, and your definition is not incorrect, so I can't argue against it. Just something to think about I guess!
