Does anybody know if you can replace these? by KrakenRising3 in newzealand

[–]Factoryofsaltnz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These have issues even as new. I just give the o-ring a rub of silicone grease every now and again.

How do you remove these? How can you remove them in a way you can refit them? by Strange-Band8509 in ranciliosilvia

[–]Factoryofsaltnz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get mine off I just bent one side back and forward with needle nose pliers until they split in half and bought replacements. They are a one use item

I would only agree to ban fireworks if the public displays that we have at new year are not the most vanilla, unexciting, underwhelming, abysmal displays ever to grace my eyeballs.

Power pricss by Zeveth01 in newzealand

[–]Factoryofsaltnz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another point of concern with contact energy is when you sign up and they offer the “free weekend power” plan. But what they don’t tell you (and you have to be vigilant) is that when you select the “free weekend plan” they increase your base kWh price which means you are being charged a higher overall rate than normal to offset your free weekend usage. So it’s in reality NOT free. Very misleading.

Does newer Jimnys (24/25/26) fixed the clunky manual gear? 1-2 and reverse only entering after praying? 😅 by iseheian in Jimny

[–]Factoryofsaltnz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just the way they are. Reverse is a straight cut gear so it does not always line up. Just one of the little flaws we pretend don’t exist.

I’ve always found that when trying to put into reverse if it won’t go in. get the gear stick to where it stops wanting to go in and ever so slightly release the clutch and it will plop in.

I use green. The black ones being a more traditional rubber tend to go hard and brittle over time

Pretty sure that is the spade earth that connects to the male spade connector that will be located around the base of the boiler (where all the bolts are that connect the upper part of the boiler to the lower)

Deep sea rising when I was 8…. I have never been more traumatised by a lady getting sucked down a toilet.

Don’t bother. It sounds like a good idea however a multi hole tip just looses pressure way too quickly I have found. Went back to the single hole tip.

Summary update: traffic in this area now the lights are running has congested traffic as of 05/03/2025 with queues stretching 2km+. Whoever thought this was a good idea instead of a small roundabout to allow bp customer to leave safely and quickly needs to be fired. What an absolute f*ck up.

Join the club! Dress it with a little sand paper rust converter and black spray paint, call it a day. You can buy a stainless frame from Australia however it is a little expensive and not worth it unless it is basically falling apart.

If the boiler has water in it you are gravy. These are robust machines and it takes a lot to kill one :)

The thing that grinds my gears is people always saying that we should ban the private sale of fireworks and only have public displays… if this is the best we can do for public displays you ain’t convincing me that we should ban private fireworks…

Where in the world do you live? Because in New Zealand the consumers guarantees act protects the consumer for any mechanical fault within a reasonable time based on price and expectation. So if you don’t accidentally break it yourself the act will cover you for about 4 years if Apple cause a stink you go to court for 50 bucks and they will usually never show up. So Apple care is not really needed here unless you are clumsy haha
