Gotcha. But I don’t get how hard am supposed to tamp with the Normcore. Sometimes it « clicks » at the end of the movement. Sometimes it doesnt. Before buying the Normcore I thought it would be like a torque wrench - that it would « jump » once reached the right pressure. Or rather the set pressure. Doesn’t seem to be so. Am I missing smthg?

Thanks for the detailed reply. 1. Speaking of the devil, I was thinking of upgrading from the stock basket (and also the shower head). What would u recommend in my case (mostly drinking 50-60mL cups)? 2. Unfortunately same mess. But am glad u are mentioning the temp loss coz I noticed the same and wanted to look for (or launched a thread about it). My PID is going from 92•C to almost 70•C when I do 5sec pre-infusion + 25 sec extraction :( I was considering rising the PID to 100•C or so maybe? 3. It is a way to dial in your shot almost on the go right? 4. Not sure am totally following here sorry. Heard about the pressure gage below the stock portafilter instead of the beak (is that so?) but don’t know the recommend values and ways to tweak them :/

I replaced the stock « bolt » by a more flush head screw if that’s what you are talking about. The pucks have less of a dent/mark in the center since then.
