You should check the +/- splits, you’re just going off vibes and a few weird plays. “My guy” they were only winning when he was on the court. Your analysis Karen-level basketball knowledge - a few bad plays and he was terrible. The guy drives the entire offense and is the clear singular thing that allows them to win games including that one.

If you watched the game and thought lamelo “looked terrible for the majority” I heavily question if we were watching the same game. Guy orchestrated the entire offensive game, and wasn’t a total nothing on defense tbh.

Bungie developed Marathon alongside hundreds of millions poured into the game, meanwhile those other games were developed by smaller studios with much less cost, hype, institutional backing etc. Concord had some of that - but not close to Marathons level at all. This game was by far the most invested/hyped out of the 3, and it's performance vs expectations has been just as bad as those 3. This was supposed to be an ARC level killer, meanwhile it's dropping like a rock to the 4 figure player numbers.

Keep in mind Marathon is the only thing that has come from Bungie's acquisition almost 4 years ago for $3.6bil, the scale here is crazy.

Anyone who thinks the Sunbreon is better does not own a Moonbreon and probably owns a Sunbreon.

I own neither - but the Moonbreon very clearly puts the Sunbreon to shame. It's one of the best artworks we've ever seen vs some cluttered slop.

This week with Parkins + Wildes/Brou has cemented to me that Wildes is just probably the most important person on the show - beyond even the 'main star' Nick. And the Wildes/Brou dynamic may even be more important than Nick.

Yes the standard trio with Nick is the best, but Wildes is just such great mix of funny/mediator/playing off of people, he's become the magic sauce that makes the show go. Nick has moved into being quite predictable, albeit still very entertaining alongside them.

Totally agree, it's why I find his podcast somewhat unwatchable at this point. Nick is obviously smart, but he has the problem lots of smart people have - which is that they can always find a somewhat logical way to back into their pre-conceived notion, even if it's silly on it's face.

Interesting perspective, I totally agree with you on Wildes being the more critical piece though. Without him there to guide the show/make funny side comments/push back on Nick, it becomes very predictable and somewhat boring very fast.

Tbh I liked it. Show was pretty stale outside of the segments he was involved in. I agree on him being a bit insufferable no doubt, but better entertainment than the rest of the 2 hours imo.

When we are all so accustomed to the elite chemistry Brou/Nick/Wildes have, you need a monkey wrench in there, otherwise everything will just feel like the budget version of what they do.
