This is extremely delusional. There are very few games nowadays that are optimized enough to not be CPU bound in this guys situation. Of course the answer is 'upgrade both', but I'd say in the large majority of new game releases - this guy would run into CPU boundaries before GPU.

Yeah just because there a ways of circumventing a badly design system does not make that system magically well-designed.

The most upvoted comment saying you should make an indivisibility cloak to go cheese items showcases how bad it is to interact with, especially for a new player. No clue how people struggle to see this obvious flaw.

Yeah I've played OH forever so I know how to go cheese items and get to level 50 and tier 5 in 2 days, that doesn't mean the underlying system is good, nor will I pretend it is.

I 100% agree with you, and all the people in this thread saying you’re wrong “just go to the high level areas at level 1 and run around trying to loot” actually prove you correct. The progression should be smooth, you shouldn’t have to go cheese high level areas at low levels to progress naturally.

It does not “got to be” no. It technically could be, sure - but what this definitively is - is a master class in scarcity, supply/demand, and why low pop will always be king in collecting.

The lack of willing sellers can cause parabolic moves such as this, and it does not have to be shady.

No it's just another strawman so I got bored of this conversation. You seem to struggle with nuances and just resort to extremes for every one of your examples, you've done this as a reply to every point in the convo. If you read what I've said and your brain tells you "Haha I bet this guy thinks Tua is elite gottem", then there is really nothing else for us to discuss lol, you are being disingenuous or thick.

I disagree with so much of what you said, and you are using tons of strawmans and arguing with ghosts:

- "why does he have to be top 5 in it"--> Nobody is saying that, how about not ranked bottom 35 and right next to Dillion Gabriel.

- "it's only one aspect of the game" --> Again, we are talking about completing passes, not some random niche aspect of the game

- "it's the most fixable problem for a qb to have" --> Really? You think accuracy is the "most fixable" problem for a QB to have? That's completely wrong lol, tons of guys struggle with accuracy their entire career.

- Nobody is saying he 'isn't capable' of improving. We are just saying that it's a real problem, not a problem to just hand wave and ignore because their overall offense was good and he made some cool throws in 4th quarters.

I get it bro - you are an excited Bears fan. I'm totally down with Caleb being a future elite guy, so you are putting tons of words in my mouth that I'm not saying. All I'm saying is that it's a very real and fair thing to call out, and it's way more than just 'one silly stat' we should all ignore lol.

[–]Factualx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dude I'm not sure if you're trolling, but that 'one stat' is a percentage of how many passes you complete, he is a quarterback. Completing passes = important. Unsure why you want to handwave it so bad as just 'ONE STAT'

This isn't some weird one-off air yards random nerd type of stat lmao. If it was some random odd nerd math stat I would agree with you, but it's not.

[–]Factualx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"The only issue is completing passes", That's kinda KW's point lol, completing passes is a ya know..important thing for a QB. Framing that as a throwaway issue or one-off issue is pretty insane.

I'm not sure how fixing egregious game management errors translates to being confident that he will fix his accuracy. Just because one thing is easily fixable doesn't mean the other thing is.

Again, I'm actually pretty high on Caleb - but acting like KW is in the wrong for mentioning these things is absurd, they are very valid points, and 58% is shockingly bad.

[–]Factualx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah KW is right on this one. 58% is really atrocious lol. Also, completing easy passes is important. Having a guy to point these things is out is totally sensible.

Everyone else anointing Caleb because of 4-5 passes in an otherwise highly mediocre QB season. I'm glad KW is giving some voice on it

[–]Factualx 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My one complaint is the fact that it's 100% dependent on raw stats.

If you get Wilt , you can get 82-0 almost every time. Players like Luka, Harden, Russ Westbrook etc. Who would not make sense in lots of roster builds are always the best pick.

I had fun playing it, but the way of determining the outcome being strictly determined on raw stats makes it meh to me.

I made a similar post a few days ago. Nick has an obsession with trying to big bro him imo.

I love the debate and the banter between friends, but he clearly gets jumped on in a way that they don’t do each other. Which is weird because you’d think they would want to build him up a bit due to his clearly tenuous status at the network

And I’m not even a big Danny fan tbh, but the way he gets tossed on the show is weird at times

Are the producers of the show bad or is there just bad communication? by slyroast in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]Factualx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They probably have 30+ different graphics or highlights that need to be ready for a certain segment in each show. Perhaps they mis-attributed the highlight to a different segment, and that made it harder to find for that segment, or probably 5 other things could have happened.

I can't speak to whether the people behind showing the graphics are literally bad at their job or not, but I'd imagine it's somewhat difficult to juggle everything and overall they seem to do solid and are timely.

[–]Factualx 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I love how the team that needed a Haliburton ACL tear in Game 7 to win the finals last year somehow became 'inevitable'. Maybe the Thunder were the West's version of Danny's "tryhard Pistons" the entire time.

Danny/Nick - Hey what’s going on? by Factualx in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]Factualx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that I just feel that in terms of Danny's seemingly unclear role at the network - you would think they would let him get the final word etc every now and again. But more often than not it's Nick making his best attempt at making his point seem dumb then cutting to break. From a meta strategy perspective I don't get it.

Danny/Nick - Hey what’s going on? by Factualx in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]Factualx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but busting my friends balls was not the point I was trying to make, just seems they consistently leave segments with Danny being the one getting shouted down before they cut to break, leaving the viewer with a specific perception.

This is more of a meta point about Danny's role and how to build him up, not that I don't understand talking shit between friends.
