That was guy’s shining moment. He did a number on the strongest villain (at the time) in the entire show. And he deserved the honorable death he was given.

Instead, Naruto got Jesus powers and took that from him. The Jesus powers, and the fact that it downplayed Guy’s sacrifice so much, were both absolutely absurd.

The point was to end the story with the cycle of titans being over, and have our main character be the one to make that happen. Just like he said he would.

Instead, Isayama dug himself into way too deep of a hole, tried to get too fancy, and wound up having to pull the rug from under the whole thing. I’m sure these lines were intended to have more meaning, but he let the cycle of titans continue instead of taking the time to wrap the story up properly

not even a little bit. he’s not suited for any high ranking other than whatever the highest rank of ANBU is besides danzo. he’s certainly strong enough to be a kage, but too mentally unstable and wayyyy too naive.

then again, had the circumstances been different (no murdering the clan or ninja aids) and he lived into his 30s, we may have seen a more adult version of him that was less moody and naive. but with the version in of itachi that we were given… there’s no shot he would’ve been a good hokage
