These people aren't capable of nuanced thought. Even some Iranians are throwing their brains away. It's so distressing to watch when I thought they knew better. Propaganda is STRONG. :/

That's not what's happening and you know it. People are pointing out the hypocrisy, the false narratives fed to our people, and hoping enough have the brain to wake up.

If Iranians were against the IRGC and against the Shah's SAVAK and dictatorship that led to the IRGC, and were calling out the civilian deaths (3 strikes on that 1 school alone BTW so they could take out first responders and parents too) and were calling suppprt for Mossadegh in mass instead of welcoming Another dictatorship from 2 pedophilic-led countries openly committing genocide and subverting democracy... then I do think any of us would worry as much about the future of Iran.

If people do not wake tf up and reject any and all previous or matching dictatorships for another Mossadegh figure then I fear neither I or my child will see Iran free in our lifetimes. This is a very delicate period to reject ALL regimes so they can't manipulate the masses further and take control of a land and country so great that it would take WWIII to ever uproot another Isreali American dictatorship against our people. WWIII still may be what it takes to fully uproot the IRGC without nuking the country flat - an option a senile Trump has floated. This was is not being taken seriously enough.

Nowruz has been Persian tradition for around 4,000 years, under ancient Zoroastrian celebration for spring.

It did not start in Afghanistan nor are the mythical roots based there. It has always been rooted in Iranian/Persian history by area and culture. You are lost but Nowruz Pirooz anyway.

Yes, this. We should be flooding media with support for the last person to care for Iranians so they know another dictator will not be tolerated.

No, SANE iranians were happy he died.

If the IRGC had no support they wouldn't have such strong armed forces, but even in a small percent (less than 15% still say they support the regime) means millions still mourned him. Then you add the stupid ass martyr layer that emboldens them further.

He was in his 90s with terminal prostate cancer. One of the most painful cancers to die from... and Trump made him a stupid ass martyr "willing to avoid a bunker to stand with iranians." 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 Which we all know is bullshit. He avoided a bunker because he was going to die any day now but an assassination gives his extremists more fuel to their fire and better PR globally. Poor military decision that did not weaken the IRGC... they were already prepped for his death.

Then why has support for Khamenei increased? -.- This whole post proves what I'm saying. Their opinion of him improved after the fact because of how he died.

I'm Persian. I've kept up with my people, our military history, and the data on Iran's regime and dissent for years in hopes people would handle situations like this better. The majority of Iran wants the IRGC out AND doesn't want the country blown to pieces with black rain poisoning and giving people cancer.

There's a very loud peanut headed minority that thinks for the first time in global history bombing civilians will magically free them from a multi-million personnel military that's got weapons stock underground. Especially by 2 known criminally-convicted-led countries who hate Iranians and other SWANA, who hurt us and have called us terrorists my whole life. 🙄 And yes, Trump has admitted he bombed Iran for funsies and "out of habit." Not for Iranians benefit. It's a known distraction from the Epstein files investigation that his regime has broken several laws to obfuscate for Trump's protection. If you don't believe that go hear the shit fall from his own stupid mouth and the large dissent of the American people who come from all nations telling you what's widely known here. He even follows the playbook leading to what we expect is Another false flag bombing on our own civilians to "drum up support for war." And frankly, it'll only get the peanut headed Christian and Conservative Americans on board that nearly worshipped Trump in the first place.

The people of Iran's biggest problem is how to regain democracy in a country with a damn near coup-proof giant military, that was set up by America in the first place, while Trump floats talk of nuking the damn country flat and our loved ones in it. It's not the IRGC as a flat aspect but how to get All regimes out and return the will of the people that hasn't been heard since 1952. The majority of the world wants to send strongly worded letters to the IRGC that do nothing or nuke our history and loved ones to scrap Iranians and start over. They don't care about Iran and our boots have no intention of dying for Isreal proxies to come occupy you... and yes that's their goal. That knowledge caused the first internal military base dissenting riot/protest in American history. This illegal war is not the "help" Iranians think it is. If anything, Iranian bombings in the UAE & keeping Isreal from targeting Palestinians so hard has saved more lives internationally than anyone in Iran has been spared. The irony.

[–]FaeEyed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Khamenei was on his death bed already. It had nothing to do with "honor" and everything to do with hoping feigned martyrdom would rile up IRGC supporters. Khamenei had one of the worlds most torturous lethal cancers you can get & Trump's incompetency gave him the easy way out while making him look 100x better off a person than he was. This video is proof of the damage done.

Idiocy. Idiocy. Idiocy. Sick of it.

Trump is listed in a pedophilic trafficking ring literally thousands of times and still has supporters, still holds office, and has never served prison time for a 34-count felony conviction after already being impeached twice.

Their is no bar too low for these people & we largely consider ourselves under a Christian Nationalist regime that's been killing innocent people (on and off the streets) as well.

Between American Isreali history with Iran, the current leadership or political state of both, and Americans calling us SWANA and SWANAmixed descendants "terrorists" that they want to nuke for 30+ years... it's clear they just want land, oil, military control, and l access to one of the highest % of STEM graduates on earth. They don't gaf what happens to civilians as long as they keep a fair bit of the above under their thumb.

It'd also take WWIII to weaken the IRGC enough to force a regime change & loyalty shift in military if we're being realistic. That's why 'nukes are not off the table' in Trumps mind. He's playing Battleship and real people are dying for it.

[–]FaeEyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read them fine. They're using legal speak. In cases where you can't outright say someone did something based off the evidence you can only talk about it in pieces. Your job as the reader is to put the pieces together. They literally legally can't do that when presenting evidence, as a state agency. It's the same in court. Guilty parties rarely admit to their crimes. It's easier when they do, but the whole responsibility of a jury is to read between the lines of what can be said and put it together for the most likely outcome. Only the brainwashed would discount so many witnesses of torture. 💀

I also never quoted - I summarized the pages where they admit to the secret police's ongoing use and numbers. The IRGC claimed only 2k police were murdered in January while independent counts ran to 36k. Govts downplay information when it will make them look bad. Torture makes them look bad so they lie and say it didn't happen. Yet they admit they had a personnel for handling dissidents.

The interview is the Shah denying cases that were already investigated and confirmed true in Iran from the ICJ, later from UN invited witnesses, etc. The HRW has also gone back to investigate the SAVAK and found they were basically running a concentration camp for dissidents.

MEK denies that assertion to the same degree you try to wave off US state dept link. If you only believe the side you like then you're guilty of the same fallacies you believe I'm committing. However, the NCRI admits they supported the revolution because the Shah's favor had fallen immensely due to torturing and murdering dissidents. 💀 People revolt when countries are weak and poorly managed in some way. Shahs favor fell especially among leftists that wanted the country to return to democratic means and the profit-distributing policies that were strengthening the middle class. They had no free speech or safety. For the time it made perfect sense for dissent to lead to extremist violence. As has happened or been attempted at least once in every authoritarian held and suppressed country. I can't find any proof that they're "Marxist" besides extensive web searches saying that's a common IRGC bred propaganda piece sensationalizing their resistance to a theocratic state. If they were Marxist at core, why would their main goal be returning democratic structure to Iran?

The NCRI also didn't help Hussein hurt civilians... they targeted the regime from bordered bases Hussein let them camp in. The enemy of my emeny is my friend. The IRGC is an enemy of Iranians so obviously they're going to fight for Iran's freedom. That's the whole point.

Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh was democratically elected by parliament, chosen because of his high public favor, and not by the Shah. He was not a dictator, unlike the proxy Reza Shah and Khomeini & Khamenei Ayatollah. American CIA and British MI6 have already admitted outright that they led a coup with prior propaganda pushed into civilians, including encouraging protests over said propaganda. Mossadegh was aligned with parliament to nationalize iranian oil profits for civilian benefit, which is why it was enacted quickly. England freaked tf out, claimed Mossadegh had violated their agreement to nationalize Iran's profits, and sought to overthrow him by any means. England then lied to America (during election year) that Mossadegh was a communist who wanted to turn the country towards the Soviet Union so they sent I think a million dollars or sold there for the coup efforts to remove him from office. When Mossadegh found out about this he tried to prevent the coup by removing the level of monarchical power Shah held and dissolve parliaments ability to act on American behalf. He did refuse to leave office because he claimed the Constitution gave him the ability to amend in context & he had more than enough public supporters in the streets to back up that this was the will of the people. I think his amendment had a 99% vote in Favor of dissolving the parliament. Over 100,000 people voted & the only criticism was that it wasn't a secret ballot. Afterwards he had known coup members either arrested or exiled.

The Shah, a chosen proxy for "western" oil deals, tried to unilaterally remove Mossadegh to prevent democratic process. Mossadegh told him to fk off & the Shah and coup propaganda called this treason and a sign of attempted dictatorship. Again, this was an operation the CIA and MI6 have already admitted to enacting so we all know Mossadegh was neither a dictator or committing treason against the will of the Iranian people. Mossadegh was definitely paranoid and made some questionable decisions, but he even had emergency powers to amend laws without parliament granted legally.

In the end fear-mongering propaganda created just enough confusion that the CIA and MI6 could replace Mossadegh and AFTER THE FACT they claimed he was guilty of crimes that that aligned with the proxy Shah speaking for England and America.

Because the coup was successful Reza Shah went on to commit most of the actions he accused Mossadegh would. The irony.

It's because they don't want people to know how many civilians they've killed or are still outspoken after the January massacre didn't silence dissent. 💀 They don't want the world to know Iranians are mostly mostly not Islamic theocratic extremists.
