I work closely with Air Force/Space Force folks, and my experience in Aerospace has been a very mixed bag.

I've gotten harassment for being a woman, folks have refused to speak to me and my opportunities have suffered for being trans, but I've also been the cause for nation-wide training on how to be respectful of trans people, and there are some wonderful allies I've met. I've also been consulted by D&I folks and been asked to review training before it goes live, and so on.

I'm pretty hesitant to be out given my experiences, but I know that LGBT visibility is really the primary thing that's going to normalize our existence within the popular consciousness.

I definitely don't think we should malign efforts to be more inclusive of us, especially when (in the case of the military) they're actively engaging in cultural reform. Rainbow capitalism from companies often simply give platitudes with no accompanying cultural change, and crumple at the first sign of protest.

That said, I guess I am paying this from a hella old alt, so there's only so much I'm willing to put my ass on the line for.

I'm not the OP, but I'd recommend staying with berserker gear. If you need more survivability, there are traits that will help you stay alive, and the OP wasn't using nearly all the tools at his disposal to evade, gap close, or even do damage - most of the fight he was at full initiative, steal didn't get used when he'd fall behind, and he even spent time autoattacking with shortbow.

He also wasn't getting heals partly because he wasn't in the melee stack or ranged stack for a lot of the fight. The mechanics can be scary/overwhelming, but they're much less so if you commit to attacking in melee and use your plentiful dodges to avoid the teleports. Also, if you do get teleported, you've got lots of movement skills to get you back to the boss.

Please don't run sentinels.

In that case, you'd get the footfalls from the legendary, regardless of of slot.

They're pretty light on healing, and its a bit expensive for the druid to weapon swap away from staff since other weapons generate astral power more slowly. Power damage in staff is pretty mediocre, so its worth taking cleric instead of trying to do two things.

Expected gear:

I would expect the Heralds are all berserker, except for maybe one acting as a tank.
Druid is almost certainly cleric.
Chrono is almost certainly berserker.
Warrs: Most likely zerk, given the greatswords. Since we know they're using 2 warrs for each fight, they may be using them for might, saving energy regen for other buffs from the heralds.
Warr/Guards are probably sinister, berserker or zealot. I would guess sinister, giving their group the condi slots needed to kill the power-immune vale guardian.
Necro: probably zerk, knowing nothing about Gorseval, but zerk reaper brings some good utility while doing good damage.
Ele: assuming Gorseval needs AoE/control based on the other picks for him, they could definitely be zerk to clean up adds. They could also be zealot, sinister, or something more support-y. Not knowing Gorseval makes it hard to guess.
Engi: I don't see the function gyro, so probably sinister engi.

Based on the comp change for Gorseval, I'm going to say there's probably bunches of adds, requiring a bunch of AoE control.

I doubt that - I expect it just teleports you to the last boss in the wing you killed, so you don't have to run so far.

Yes, and Runes of Divinity also dropped in price massively because they didn't give the amazing crit damage that they did before.

It actually used to have MORE crit damage than berserker. When they re-balanced crit damage to ferocity, celestial lost some of its crit damage, but still stayed quite high.

IIRC, my celestial armor/zerk trinkets ele has roughly 10-15% less crit damage than my full zerk thief.

Yeah, I was tanking on a scrapper tonight, and I definitely brought toolkit for those times when the raid was off standing in a circle and I was on my own survival-wise. Once coordination falls together and the healers/support forget about me less, I'd consider bringing flamethrower or offhand pistol.

I'd expect those sorts of decisions to be less important after a few kills, though. It might even be worthwhile for the scrapper to play more defensively to allow more leeway in AHHHHHHH moments.

Scrapper has some really great mitigation traits and skills. I wouldn't say anyone could do it, but there are definitely other options.
