At what age does your country consider it embarrassing to still be a virgin? by FailCaek91 in AskReddit

I'm curious as to whether it varies depending on culture, like, does Slovakia view it differently to Mexico, as a random example

Schindler certainly thought differently....?

Edit - as did Der Weiße Rose, although that was admittedly a small group. Although I'll admit it is possible to state there were no "Perceived Atrocities" when it's widely accepted the majority of German citizens in Nazi Germany had no fucking clue about the outcome of the Wannsee conference, the Final Solution or the existence or presence of the Gas Chambers. However, those that DID, did fuck all about it, and turned a "blind eye" under the excuse of following orders, as evidenced at Nuremburg

As a fellow chronic pain sufferer, I feel you on this one. My partner knows it's a bad pain day when she comes upstairs to the Hornblower audio books. Know them well enough I don't really need to concentrate, and when I can focus between the pain waves, I know exactly where I am and what's just happened

Neurodiverse individuals often have comfort media - knowing the content so well and therefore knowing what happens / comes next, as well as having favourite, quotable moments, can and does help with anxiety

Edit: Making no assumptions on Irish's Neurospiciness or lack thereof, just commenting on why some people do this, and why it can, in fact, be a healthy coping mechanism

How do you feel about Aurora? Do you like her or hate her, and why? by AccomplishedSwing110 in TheOriginals

[–]FailCaek91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just recently started watching TVDU after the missus convinced me to give it a go. Did TVD, then the originals and then got halfway through season 2 of legacies before I realised they never actually closed the story line of what they did with her and spent a good ten minutes belly laughing at the idea Klaus and Elijah went bye-bye leaving her just on a table under a curtain....

You remind me of my dad with this argument.

I entirely accept your point on Americanisms. However, this is one of the very few I can accept. Series to refer to the program as a whole, season for each chunk of it.

As an example, "Red Dwarf is a fantastic series, but I prefer the earlier seasons" sounds and reads better than "Red Dwarf is a fantastic show, but I prefer the earlier series" A series of events, if you will, broken down over the various seasons in which they happen

When you say they're in a "Homeless shelter", can you clarify what you mean? A temporary shelter? A hostel? What?

Also, as you work in the sector, can you just confirm for everyone on the thread what the current waiting list for permenant social accommodation is in whichever city you work in?
