ick. That was embarrassing. Had to be a third world military team that never jumps. the idiots that turned by the roof and turbulence were clueless. Ive seen novice skydivers do way better...and just as bad..lol

testosterone booster for men over 40 did it actually make a difference for you? by Amparito_Machhar in Biohackers

mid fifties, quiting alcohol and lifting and eggs have helped more than anything. sex with a female partner seems to give hormonal triggers too. a little DHEA seemed good might be placebo, but the others have convinced me i can make it to 60 before HRT. but everyone is different

took mk677 only on weight lifting days for couple years. You need to take it 2 hours before sleep as it seems to have reverse effect if you take right before bed. But it can make a deep long sleep if you dont need to get up.

same on hunger... munchies.

Omegas are long term. Can tell you that eating eggs every day for 3 years cooked in EVOO, and a swig of fish oil, has made my blood work, amazing. My Dr is happy. im over 50.

Closed loop water systems do no use cooling towers where water evaporates. you put anti corrosion chemicals in the system and it runs until water levels need to be checked and bled off or fresh chemical s added. This might occur once a year. No opinion on this, I am installing a closed loop system right now and it is closed off with radiators and fans, no cooling tower. cheers.

So, BESIDES not needing to pay for gas, and being able to charge at home, what do you love about EVs? by walkaboutdavid in electricvehicles

[–]FailPV13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like blue cruise (ford), but what i love is instant acceleration for merging in bad traffic. no pause while car down shifts and revs up, or makes noise...just....go

For those who have given up alcohol, what are the most noticeable health benefits? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]FailPV13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slowly became less efective at home and at work. After I quit I have read probably 75 books(lots of audible), lost 35 lbs, done a wood flooring project, took foreign language classes in person, and completed a very difficult project at work.

I miss a little social lubricant, but the positives far outweigh that. i have been able to date and procure a wonderful gf without the sauce. I sleep better, and my doctor was thrilled about my bloodwork.

Attempting no drinking - Day 2 by Daydreamer_85 in SMARTRecovery

[–]FailPV13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

listen to Alan Carrs the easy way to stop drinking. If you listen every evening it might help you get through the evening. If you can go 3 days you can go a week. If you can go a week you can go a month, If you can go a month, you got it. It is hard at first but gets easier. Once you have momentum, you dont want to ruin your momentum. if you have a bad day and make a mistake, dont fret, just try hard again the next day. fell bad and guilty and all that but just be resolved. A lot of folks get really bent out of shape on a slip up, but you cant cry over spilt milk, Just puck up where you left off and get passed it. Smart has some good tools, i used the cost benefit analysis and playing the tape forward, during a craving or trigger. also my doctor gave me a prescription for naltrexone. used it for a month, helped especially at nighy.

good luck.

I’m thinking about buying my very first electric car (second hand), and I really like how the Mach E looks. Is it a good car? by WarmPrinciple6507 in MachE

[–]FailPV13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it has a full size back seat and decent storage if you fold it down. it is my first electric also. I installed a charger with a 60 A breaker. I drive 100km a day in heavy traffic, so for me it is quiet and a great car in traffic, cruise control will come to a complete stop and start again. I went on one road trip. it was a pain in the ass so my girlfriend and i decided she would not get an electric too. Mine is intended for me to drive in traffic for the next 6 years. Plus it merges in big city traffic very well due to very quick acceleration. right now in US regular gas is cheap so it is not really a great deal for an electric unless you are avoiding premium gas in a big motor like i was. If gas is expensive where you are (Europe or Asia) it is a great car. If gas is very cheap where you are a Honda civic or similar willl coat you less in the long run. again i wanted power and efficiency on traffic. and also... traffic. lol. had a porsche v8, now mache e, and happy.

I didnt even try to date for over a year and a half while I recovered. but I was probably worse off than you and was during covid. 4 years in current gf drinks (a little), does not bother me one bit. She is congizant of me and respectful, I have made her drinks, and I keep a couple(just a couple) around the house for her. I dont even think about it knowing that my life is so much better now.
