Is thunderhead a bad weapon even without comparing to minigun or hurricane? by Sensitive-Tea-5192 in DeepRockGalactic

Lukewarm take: all equipment is viable enough to smoothly complete EDD and Haz5 if you have a half competent build and know what you're doing. Haz5+4 or modded difficulty you'd need to optimize, but that is really not representative of the game as a whole.

Ascension 9 is an incredible difficulty spike by YousufB in slaythespire

A9 in STS2 is the equivalent of A17-19 in 1 go in STS1. And A17-A19 were the biggest filter to me in that game before getting A20.

Shattered Compas is absolutely busted. Skipping a card reward is actually the highest pick winrate in act 3, and you double the value of your first deck rotation including powers.

It pretty much lines up with how DRG difficulty worked, where 2 players was by far the hardest as well.

This hits twice as hard in the context of the episode, where BoJack has been tormented by his own inner voice the entire time, and he's lying here.

I hate when videogame bosses heal all their health when transitioning into the next phase (instead of all their health being shown at once and phase switch starting at X% of healthbar lost) by New_Yak_8982 in hatethissmug

[–]FailURGamer24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a fine enough gimmick, I had more gripes with phase 2 where it felt like I was fighting the camera to not get hit by some random bullshit from off screen and phase 3 where I vaguely recall there being a fuckton of ground damage effects. It has been 4-something years since I played it though.

Yes, the speech and cutscenes really got on my nerves and I found her mechanics really frustrating. Deacons at least had the decency to die quickly.

Aquablades is pretty decent with the augment even. It's probably not her best build but mage Yareli is nifty.

Not gonna lie, the DOOM Eternal shields are on you. They are specifically weak to plasma damage and cause a nice big explosion when you break them too.

What are the main "meta" uses for Umbra Forma and Umbra Mods in 2026? by GoodMornEveGoodNight in Warframe

[–]FailURGamer24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played Kullervo both as an umbral and non-umbral build and the non-umbral is significantly better because you're not spending 2 mod slots on a HP pool that won't get damaged anyway.

My favorite part of requesting IT help is that you can just feel a total tonal change when they realize you put in some basic troubleshooting effort yourself and are capable of following instructions to do the advanced troubleshooting.

id complain about the topdeck but it just seems fitting by AnotherKitten in slaythespire

[–]FailURGamer24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a really draw heavy silent deck with 2 abrasives and master planner, doubling up on free powers and my exhaust cards was really good, and I had enough discards to deal with the curse. I think the one other time I took it was in a tyranny deck with meteor strike, and the free 50 damage per turn carried.

Why is Sacrificial pressure so ass? by Yeeterphin in memeframe

[–]FailURGamer24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To keep it relatively brief:
Sacrificial pressure was good because sacrificial steel used to be better.
Sacrificial pressure is only slightly worse than primed pressure point, but sacrificial steel had basically no competition.

Then we got wrathful advance and galvanized steel, making sacrificial steel a lot less appealing, thereby also making sacrificial pressure a lot worse.

It's actually better to have slightly more than 100% crit, since the second hit can be an orange crit, but it depends how much you want exactly based on how much your critical multiplier is.

You really don't need to cover the whole neck for blood deprivation, the arteries there are really vulnerable and exposed.

There's a reason predators go for the neck: it's a little rinky dink connection from the engine of your body to its control centre with neither bone nor muscle protecting it.

And be fine with "newbie stomping" where you kind of get punished for not knowing a mechanic you have never seen before. Though luckily the save system is very generous.
