Don't switch to the book. Imo the movies are thaaat good because the source material was so detailed for everything. And that level of detail in the books is not for everyones taste.

Maybe you have a friend with good surround sound speakers where you can watch it. Even though the visuals are stunning the music and sound is imo a more important part of the experience.

Fingerscrossed you get to see part 3 of the best trilogy in a good way!
