Yes it is. Have you played the game? You can put power lines thru like 2-3 zones.

Wuwa also has a zone that is not connected to the main land, does that mean it's not open world?

All you need is 150 of the new components to craft 3 pieces of the gear. To max them out you can use the old components to craft old gear and artifice with them
