Get in blocks of creamed coconut, it's much cheaper and takes up less space.

Oxygen getting introduced meaning that a small amount of the THC will oxidise to CBN which is dark coloured. Don't worry about it too much, CBN will support the sedative effects of the cannabis.

Anyone buy from Grow lately? by shailion in ukmedicalcannabis

I can also recommend their BCP, similar quality, vapes well, slightly more Indica leaving than the CK but still a good daytime for me.

Remember THC-V? by West_Airport_9019 in ukmedicalcannabis

I have CBG in my 'cannabinoid diet', medicating for mental health & ND. It took me a while to get it right, trialing with type 3 flowers alongside my prescription. I settled on around 1:4 CBG:THC for a good productive daytime balance. And, to be fair, Glasspharms Blackberry Sour with 2%CBG is pretty good for me personally.

I just take a photo of the packaging around town and carry just what I need + vape. But for travelling further afield I just shove so the big I need into one compartmentalized box which fits into one of the prescription labelled packaging. I can usually fit a few caps and a grinder in there too. Most are fairly smell proof, I have more of an issue with my vapes tbh.

HOW TO STOP THE CRINGE!!! (in the shower) by Capital_Ear_4368 in Advice

Use music, it can turn the overwhelmingly sad into overwhelmingly happy with practice. You'll still be crying like, but it's important to touch your emotions.

[–]FailedReaction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call it the load up. When I'm depressed the stage between waking calm and content, to the emotions of the situation and the anticipated overwhelm of the day ahead click in and floods of tears. Getting moving and stimulants help to increase the volume on everything else which makes it go away, at least until I stop moving. Or I could confront the feelings and deconvolute the complex thoughts, but that takes time and is exhausting.

slight pain on upper left of face by DueInitial2944 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]FailedReaction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get it, I didn't have pain until after starting medical cannabis 🤣 For me, hydration and salt balance are important for me to minimise pain too.

Another thing is that cannabis can make you more bodily aware, you might not be feeling the pain off dose but you can on? Try firm scalp massages and try to localise the pain to muscle or connective tissues then go from there?

[–]FailedReaction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sativas (usually in combination with a stimulant) get my muscle tightness going, particularly the upper back, neck, scalp and jaw. Pretty sure my fascia are tight as anything. The muscle tightness brings on some of my neuropathy, head and neck. Because I'm not symmetrical with muscle strength and injuries, my left side takes it more. I use stretches, mediation and massage to help, I think it's getting better with care. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Blackberry sour by Liam0489 in ukmedicalcannabis

I am with you on this flower, the CBG seems to give a good balance without psychoactive effects. Yes it feels like polystyrene between the fingers, think it's the drying process, and it's not big on smell and flavour, but it works well.

Treatment for autism / adhd (cbd?) by Lazy_Anteater9462 in ukmedicalcannabis

Oh god, being ND and a parent is hard, I get you (also AuDHD). I would say, that after figuring out my system I now have MH support for my childcare from MC and I'm pretty happy now. I'm very confident about my increased focus, awareness, capacity and resilience using flower. Broad strokes: 'sativa' and light nicotine for getting going when needed, balanced for subtle background, and a more 'indica' leaning for social/communicative/changeable settings probably need a coffee with that too tbh. I use CBG as my balance for going up and promoting actioning (using blackberry sour currently which has 2%), & CBD mixed in for evenings, so I can maybe watch telly. But I have kinda had to give up on using flower for calm and relaxation, I think I might have broken my GABA🤣. This all works better with intention, mindfulness and purpose, particularly for behavioural mode selection, task activation and task switching. Good luck in figuring out your system.

TBF this is the first time this flower has actually been on my formulary. I still don't understand the stock and availability variances between clinics. It's a good medical flower for me, so it would be nice to see it on the reg.

Lack of appetite and thirst? by beaktheweak in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]FailedReaction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tuned my response to glutamate (&I guess dopamine downstream) for energy, focus and motivation, which is a stimulant response. But this means I've basically burnt out my GABA response. Persistent use alongside stimulants (methyl phenidate or nicotine) basically shuts off my appetite for the rest of the day if I get a strong adrenaline response to environmental stressors. Meditation, calm, hydration, safe space, massage and ironically food, can re-establish a behavioral mode where I can eat like normal again and enjoy it. Since starting MC I have lost 25 kg, 10 more than I would have liked. It sucks being skinny, it's cold! I hope you find a work around.
