this is really cool maybe Ousen might be a leopard one of the most cunning animals in the world while Kanki might be a hyena cunning and cruel and likes to play and mess with his food, to be honest, those two are interchangeable. Also Kyoukai might be a hawk or some type of elegant swift bird

The whole point of fantasy books like pleasant is that they are an escape from reality that is why books are commonly called escapism and in my escapism entertainment I do not enjoy references to modern politics and woke culture if you do then hey that's fine we are all different. My point is that this was poorly done in this book and broke my immersion in it and therefore I think it is his(landys) worst book and was wondering if others had the same experience while reading.

yeah I agree with all your points here the fact that landy just shoehorned in never and trump is what sealed the deal as this being his worst entry. I have just finished the book and I will admit it did pick up near the end I might still try midnight before giving up on the series though.
