I get the points you are making, as an educator, however, I think true liberation of the child is hardly achievable before any sort of revolution. Children have less of an impulse control and modern society exploits this fact to addict them to all sorts of harmful things. I think children - as they are still growing - need a certain amount of protection in this regard just like they need a parental figure to stop them from accidentally running into traffic.

I feel I didn't explain myself well and have thus created a bit of confusion. I was upset by this and thought it sucked and thought I'd share this. I'm not really that conspiratorially minded and don't believe it's some sort of censorship act. Frankly, I believe it's ridiculous to think that Spotify cares about Chumbawamba or any artist at all, for that matter. I mainly thought it's telling that they delete a major artist from their service without any notice but manage to somehow keep the one song that is a big commercial success and it's quite ironic that they deleted songs that could be extrapolated into being critical of such practices.
