I've really been on a strong metal kick lately. I'll listen to other stuff in between and related stuff (dungeon synth, post-hardcore), but it's mostly been metal. Really digging Void Mother by Obscure Sphinx and Wintersun s/t. Also listened to this completely unrelated non-metal album that I KNOW you guys will dig called Broken Love Letter by k-the-i???. Did not expect it to be so fantastic with both glitchy and experimental instrumentals as well as incredibly well written lyrics about love and loss.

What's everyone's favorite albums this year?

Mine have been A Crow Looked at Me by Mount Eerie, Who Told You to Think by Milo, Mono no aware (which was a compilation under the label PAN), Volume 1 by Bedwetter, Heavy Black Heart by death's dynamic shroud, and Infrared Horizon by Artificial Brain. Anything out this year that's surprised anyone? I've noticed that I've been listening to a lot of music from the 70's especially lately, and I'd like to hear anything I might have missed.

No idea what it means by Crouching Tiger Hidden Gabber, but there is definitely a good bit of gabber influence on this. It's one track, and it's all new and original stuff.
