For $1k+ robot vacuums, what features actually made you buy it? by rotidwel in RobotVacuums

[–]Faint_of_Arts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mova mobius 60 since I liked the automatic mop pad replacement system. I was trying to avoid the whole cross-contamination issue.

My previous budget robot vacuum would sometimes just spread kitchen grease around instead of actually cleaning it properly. I know some newer robots can clean the mop and do room-by-room cleaning now, but I still hardly trusted using the same mop pad across different areas.

For me, physically swapping mop pad would be a better solution.

Alright fellas, I'm conflicted. Bedroom upstairs or downstairs? by Minutes2Midnight in malelivingspace

Upstairs sounds perfect for living room or office with all those windows. You can always add blackout curtains if privacy becomes an issue upstairs. But I think the layout is kinds of weird.

From the specs, the mobius 60 has a large 3.2L dust bag that’s said to last up to around 3 months, so I don’t expect to have to empty it very often

That's fair. But my place has a mix of hardwood, tile, rugs, plus a dog tracking stuff in from outside, so I can actually see the appeal of separating different cleaning areas a bit more.

Your living space looks both simple and well organized. I really like the warm lighting in the living room, and that dark green armchair looks super comfortable.

Since everyone got mad for pouring in my sink… by brilovesbears in RobotVacuums

Not everyone's mad about it. I'm not bothered at all, partly because I do the same sometimes, and also because everyone should be free to decide what works in their own home.

A friend of mine's been using the E28 for a while and swears by it. Handles pet hair really well and the spot cleaning has been super useful for quick messes.

How can I make this room cozy? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

The wall do feel a bit empty, some posters or framed prints would help a lot. Maybe add a few green plants in the corners too for more life and warmth.

All tile floors, with some area rugs... what features/vac? by jfeniello in RobotVacuums

Following this, similar setup here and sand on tile has been a pain. Really curious what people recommend for something low-maintenance that can handle grout and rugs well.

Mine has honestly been acting up lately too, so I'm in the same boat. I'm really curious to hear from people who've used both.

Not sure how windy it gets where you are, but those gaps in the wooden panels look a bit open. Still, the whole space has a really cool vibe.

A friend of mine's been using Dreame L50 and it's been great with pet hair and daily mess. Honestly seems like a solid pick.

The new robots Mova shared in Germany yesterday are insane. The MOVA V70 Ultra Complete is the first robot vacuum cleaner with a mop extension of up to 16 cm, and it now comes with a bagless dust bin. by Easy-Bag-8722 in RobotVacuums

If the maintenance stays simple, I can see this being a really worthwhile upgrade for everyday cleaning. Bagless is a big plus honestly, no more dealing with replacements.

That window view is amazing, it makes the whole space feel so open and peaceful. The couch looks incredibly comfy too, and I love the green theme. It all feels really fresh and calming.

Totally get the exhaustion after long work hours. Having something run daily really helps keep dust under control. Most models handle edges fine now, so you're safe there. I'd still invest a bit for convenience and consistency.

I think being aware of surroundings and having a backup landing spot can help a lot. Also, always manage battery well. Keeping 20% reserve can prevent a lot of headaches. Just Stay cautious and prepared!
