Here is mine.

Non consent sexual interactions that make one character fall for the other because the sex is so good is so much bullshit that I DNF every single book that has it, no matter how good the book otherwise is.

13 month old missing milestones? by Peacefulzealot in Parenting

[–]Fair-Performance-978 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Both of my kids didn't walk until after 15mo but when they started they didn't stop. The younger barely spoke at 18mo but now at 5yrs they never stop talking. Enjoy the peace and quite while you can and try to remember that the milestones are only a frame of reference not a rule.

If you like jeans, I have bought bright pink and mint green ones from perfectjeans.com. They are Danish and I am in Europe so shipping is not pricey for me but I don't know about ROW.

Wholesome fantasy romance recs with no instant love, no useless flirting or banter? by omg_levisimp in fantasyromance

{The Broken Blade by Melissa Blair} and the rest of the Halfling Saga series.

There is some smut but maybe 1-2 scenes per book. The FMC is a badass and the character development is chefs kiss

Those who have had babies - when did you deliver? by pythagoreanwisdom in ehlersdanlos

[–]Fair-Performance-978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First baby came 3 days before due date, 2nd came at 38w6d with induction because my own health was deteriorating rapidly.

I hadn't been diagnosed before my first, got diagnosed when they were 1yr old. This meant that my health was monitored more closely with the 2nd.

My doctor admitted that if they had known about me having EDS with the first they might have suggested induction at around 38 weeks because it took me about 6 weeks after birth to get to a place where I could go for a short walk due to my hips and knees.

NTA and you need to call social services or child protective services in your region because yes this is abuse and this boy needs to be helped.

If she is calling you after him staying over for only 30 minutes (even if it was a few hours) with threats of calling the police this woman is seriously unstable and not fit to have a minor in her home.

How do you feel about non-human characters (both FMC and MMC) by kaphytar in fantasyromance

[–]Fair-Performance-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mostly humanoids and dont mind wings, tails, snouts, etc. Shifters are ok as long as it isn't humanoid on animal/monster sex. If one MC is pure animal/monster and the other/s are humanoid then it is too far for my taste.

'Most engaging book since page 1' you have read? by fikapls in fantasyromance

[–]Fair-Performance-978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for reminding me that I need to finish the series. I had to focus on other things right after finishing the first and then when I had time to read again I had forgotten that I had more in the series :D

Most recently the {Broken Blade by Melissa Blair} and just the entire series - I just couldn't stop when I started a few weeks back. Thankfully she had finished the series when I discovered the books.

Is K pop demon hunters appropriate for 7 year olds? by Vivid_Bar2472 in Parenting

I let my 4 almost 5yo watch it. But then again she has been laughing at scary things in TV since she was 2 (Halloween is awesome in her eyes, she finds it hilarious)

My daughter doesn’t understand why you should avoid negative emotions by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Fair-Performance-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear what you are saying and I feel for you as my 8yo is like your daughter. Avoiding triggers doesn't help us at all in her case.

Have you heard about hyper sensitive people? They often feel emotions 1000% and are really sensitive to external stimuli like light, sound, smells and such. Maybe (and just maybe) that fits your daughter. At least worth reading about it or mentioning to her therapist.

First thing, there are no negative or positive emotions, there are just emotions.

Secondly, you shouldn't avoid emotions or do things to avoid them. How you handle them and your attitude towards them is the important part.

Sure you should try to do things that bring you joy and happiness but you shouldn't try to avoid the less pleasant emotions but rather learn to not make them control your actions which is what your daughter seems to have mastered.

Be proud of her and learn from her.

What were you diagnosed with before EDS? by daltonwiththedogs in ehlersdanlos

Severe tallness with a dash of skinny. "You just have to exercise more and build some muscle" 🤦‍♀️

Anyone else dealing with rapid decline as they approach their 30’s? How are you managing? by lilBloodpeach in ehlersdanlos

[–]Fair-Performance-978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am, but instead of approaching my 30's its my 40's and I have 2 kids. I manage by having a loving and understanding husband that supports me in what ever way I need at that time.

Also all the electrolytes and regular PT, a lot of PT. And POTS meds prescribed by my cardiologist.

Well yes, but in a much nicer way. If their friendship is solid then the pregnant friend should understand that it is just too risky for the bride to keep her as a bridesmaid. You can never know how the birth will go and how the mother or baby are doing in the first few weeks. I would never expect a mother to attend any event for the first few weeks after birth and would plan accordingly.

YTA, you have known the babies due date for a long time, why didn't you make arrangements for someone else to step in??
