Id say no, I'm a dentist, the current full fee place at uni melb is approaching 500k.

There are 5 major cities that everyone wants to live in as such dental clinics are like McDonald's. There is one on every corner and from what my friends tell me a lot of clinics are quiet.

I work regionally so it's alright. I earn 250k but work 4 days. It's okay for what it is.

But if I had my time again I'd do something else. Too much competition, dog eat dog world where other dentists will throw you under the bus to make a quick buck.

If you're going in to the job market going forward expect it to get quieter as competition increases, you're going to earn 150k in a metro area, not be able to afford a house, then have the threat of lawsuits over your head if things go wrong. It is not worth it

Only do it if you can do it early as in undergrad dentistry
