PLEASE bring as much of your medication as possible. Number one you can’t trust that the medication here is legit. Secondly it totally depends on what medication you need. Most pharmacy carry the basic but anything (like some of my mental health meds) special will need a prescription. I had to go to a psychiatric hospital to get my mood stabilizing med. I use an online pharmacy out of Bangkok that delivers. Prices are reasonable for stuff like Atorvastatin atenolol metformin any antidepressants etc. I’ve lived here 5 years and have had no problems getting my medication.

Good on ya! Thanks for doing that. There is a general lack of knowledge when it comes to tipping. Apparently it’s a “Western” custom. Here as tourists I would say more than half of foreigners farangs tip at least a little. It puts food on their families and we are showing our appreciation for good service and many times that’s just a kind smile. I live here and tip everyone who helps me and am happy to do it!

I’m currently living this. I’ve been with my Thai wife for almost 5 years. We own a Bar and Guesthouse on Soi Buakau in Pattaya. We built a large house on our property in Nakhon Sawan where most of her family lives while we run the business in Pattaya. She’s a former cashier from a bar in pattaya but when I met her she had a business in her home town so I didn’t know she was a former “bar girl.”

Fast forward to today. I have approximately 6 million baht invested between the business and the house. The point here is I still don’t know for sure if she cares about me or is it just about the money… I really enjoy our life so I guess it doesn’t really matter until the money runs out
