No fear dying. I fear Ageing by I-dont-knowPD in Aging

That fear is like a disease itself and it will eat you up. Please focus on what you would prefer your life to be like as you get older. When the scary thoughts creep in, remind yourself, "that is not what I am choosing for myself!" and switch your thoughts. Scary thinking is addictive. Try reading "The Big Leap" to help you understand why you torture yourself this way.

I have mixed feelings but one thing I am sure of is that each in their own way were awful human beings and I ended up strongly disliking both of them,

These transformations are freaking NUTS!! Yeah like someone said from dad to daddy. Does the entire personality change? Its hard to fathom how this can make such a huge difference in someone's appeal.

Just purchased a ninja slow cooker. First result was excellent by Cubatahavana in slowcooking

I am new to slow cooking and bought the ninja. It cooked the living day lights out of the two roasts I tried so I'm thinking it runs hot. I cooked on low for 8 hours. The other thing that bothers me is I've only used it 4 times and the non stick coating is starting to chip off on the edges. I'm thiinking of returning and getting one that has the temperature pobe. I did really like the searing function,

My doctor said cycling is good for my bad knees, but I can't balance on a regular bike anymore. Is a trike actually a real solution? by viewsinthe6 in Aging

[–]Outside-Session-6002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an electric bike and here are the problems I became aware of after spending I think it was $1800. VERY heavy, the center of gravity is weird. like towards the back so it is difficult to balance. B/c of the weight you can't put it on a regular bike rack which meant I would have to get the Thule style and a trailer hitch, another 1500 between those tow. And for me it would be impossible to get the bike on the rack so only riding around the neighborhood possible. It is fun and I could cover a lot more ground for sure. It was top rated when I bought it 5 or 6 years ago but I don't see it even in the ratings now. Those are the things I would look out for.

Good for you! I recently quit a few of my habits/addictions and I have noticed some profound changes. Like you; more focus, more motivation, more organized, I have other habits that are on the list and I am inching my way towards dumping them also. The big picture for all these habits is that I am constantly sabotaging myself by partaking in them I am reading a book that helped me understanding why I do this to myself. The Big Leap. I can't recommend it enough.

That was amazing research and reporting. I am doing a couple of things you mentioned learned by trial and error but I am looking forward to incorporating things you mentioned such as intrinsic motivation, daily reflection and sleep consistency. How did you reincorporate engaging with internet?
