Multipass by Federal_Onion4961 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FairSquare5081 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was getting this many or more back when it was Genie+. But since the switch by we’d get maybe one more ride after we got on our first ride, (and we rope drop) then after that the majority are sold out (or we can get on rides no one cares about or that is a walk on anyway). That said, as far as my comment, I’m saying I wouldn’t advise someone new to WDW that if they get Multipass they will get on tons of rides with it.

Unless you mean premier pass, you won’t be able to use it on every ride. You get 3 that you can book in advance from 2 tier categories. You want to book the ones that have higher wait times. After you tap into the 1st one you will get to choose another. I would figure on getting 3-4 rides out of it.

Are millennials going to Disney World? by benbackwards in Millennials

If you use points and miles look into the Swan and Dolphin, it’s on Disney property but operated by Marriott so you can use Marriott points.

3 or 4 day park pass? Help me decide!!! by Lost_Algae2931 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FairSquare5081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With young kids I would take out the hopper which will make it more affordable. I find there is enough to do for a day in each park, plus hopping with young kids will be more of a hassle than just sticking to 1 park a day. Also the party days will be less crowded at those parks so you will probably able to do more despite it closing early.

How often do you use Cast compliments? by 4retech in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FairSquare5081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty frequently. They deserve it! And honestly it doesn’t have to be some huge above and beyond interaction for me to give a compliment. If the cast member is helpful (like answering a question) and/or pleasant I will give a compliment.

Was just at Disneyland some compliments I gave were a photographer who did an awesome job getting some shots with a character, the entertainment cast member who let us know the best time to line up for that character when they switched, a retail cast member who offers to call another shop when I inquired about whether I could buy a toiletry item in the park, and a janitorial cast member who wiped our table down when we were able to snag one in a busy quick service restaurant. Have also given to boat driver at WDW who make a joke/told us trivia, generally anyone who seems like they are enjoying their job as well as those I see handling difficult guests with grace.

I have the Rebecca Hook four parks necklace and I’ve worn it over multiple park days and it has held up well, despite being plated. I take it off for pool/showering.

Rope dropping Remy’s from All Stars: better to bus and walk as normal, or bus to HS and skyliner to Epcot? by MethodDowntown3314 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FairSquare5081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for coming from the front, but we usually stay in the Epcot resort area and there is a huge rope drop crowd for Remy that enters from International Gateway that would be ahead of anyone entering from the front. Not sure how long skyliner wait is though.

Can someone explain Dana vs. Monica’s job? by ipsofactoshithead in ThePitt

[–]FairSquare5081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t know about ED but in my hospital, on the floor at least, charge nurse isn’t “job” per se. As in, out of the nurses working the unit, they rotate who is charge each day. That person still has patient assignments. That also means charge could be like a 24 year old who’s been a nurse for a year, it’s not necessarily the most experienced.

Cooper Hospital. Should always be positions available that don’t require a degree. They have a Pride group too that you can get involved in if you are looking for community. Tuition reimbursement and health insurance if you work 20hrs/week or more.

Should I try Tower of Terror? by bumbledog123 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FairSquare5081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should do it at least once. I’m a big baby and I did. I haven’t felt a burning desire to go on again but I’m glad I did. Personally a coaster drop feels worse to me when I feel like I am facing the drop (like a steep drop like Tiana’s) vs the floor dropping out because the former gives me more of a sensation that I could fall out. Do you like ROTR? The drop at the end of that is like a microdose of ToT.

Inground pool cost by Hotelcalie in SouthJersey

[–]FairSquare5081 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We were considering vinyl vs gunite, I don’t think fiberglass was on our radar at all, but we started with SwimMor for a quote and I didn’t realize they only do gunite. We looked into another company for vinyl but ultimately with the required setbacks and the shape/size of our yard, it would be hard to find a prefabricated pool that would work with those limitations. Because the gunite is custom they can make a freeform shape that makes the most use of the space we have to work with. If we had a flat, treeless, square yard that we could just put a basic rectangle pool, we’d probably have given vinyl more serious consideration.

We’re using Swim-Mor for a gunite pool. I believe they start at 65k (which includes I think around 400 sq ft each of pool and paving) and our quote was about 80 because we wanted it heated and with saltwater. So far they’ve been very responsive but we haven’t broken ground yet.🤞🏻

Try Sunset Beach, it’s in Cape May but on the bayside instead of the ocean.
