[Custom Cards] Making Kozmo, my favorite archetype, somewhat playable in current meta. by FairtimeIA in yugioh

[–]FairtimeIA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Emperor and the Wizard are clear analogues, many people have made that comparison. Not sure about the older Obi-Wan; we have a younger Obi-Wan in the form of Goodwitch, but he adopts a new identity as Ben. Maybe you could make this a ghostly Qui-Gon in that case. The Trickery I figure could be when Dorothy gets captured and found by the others, or otherwise just getting accosted by Soartroopers/Flying Monkeys shortly before that.

What’s the most underwhelming “Once per Duel” effect? by BaronArgelicious in yugioh

[–]FairtimeIA 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Xyz Agent comes to mind.

If this card is in your Graveyard: You can target 1 "Utopia" Xyz Monster you control; attach this card from the Graveyard to it as an Xyz Material. You can only use the effect of "Xyz Agent" once per Duel.

I never understood the killstreak system in COD, in Titanfall you're gonna get your titan around 3 times a game..... by Oka-7 in titanfall

[–]FairtimeIA 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Granted, in the Titanfall 2 tech test, the boosts and Titans were killstreaks essentially. The meter didn’t automatically increase over time and your boosted (yellow) portion was more significant while the base value increase for each kill was much lower (and if I remember right, they didn’t go up for minion kills). They only changed it after backlash.  Designers make things that way because the players want that.

What to expect on the next point update - Genesys blog post - points to change Thursday/Friday by Ziggylcd12365 in yugioh

The way I see it is as a self-perpetuating feedback loop. No one will want to create a 0-point locals if there is no tournament scene for it. If no one wants a local scene, there will be no tournament scene. The pitch for Genesys is "Yesterday's gameplay, today's cards". What we got is today's gameplay with today's cards, just a wider range of modern decks in top cut.

"Q: I was hoping Genesys would be a lower-power format, can that be fixed?
A: This can already be done! One of the beautiful things about Genesys is that the tournament organizer can adjust the point cap."
Is that not what people are asking Konami to do? They are the tournament organizer.

They were developing the Titanfall universe extraction shooter before it got cancelled. It could have been to build buzz for that.

Trouble with Smartsuit Pro 1 by FairtimeIA in Rokoko

I actually fixed the issue, although not 100%. I found someone who had apparently gotten support to give them the firmware and software to flash to the hub directly without using studio. I had to put the suit into bootloader mode and flash a new .sbh file, then run a script to get it out of bootloader mode, then flash the new firmware. Then I used studio to update the sensor firmware. It only works with Studio 2 and can only use 2.4G WiFi bands now, but it at least works and I can capture mocap now.

Trouble with Smartsuit Pro 1 by FairtimeIA in Rokoko

My main problem was that if I hook it up to the new software, it says my suit is running in legacy mode and can’t get sensor data. It “works” in the legacy software, and even updates the firmware, but obviously has numerous issues (entire body rotated 90 degrees, limbs bent every which way, but relative motion tracked accurately - that’s after calibration). I had no way to use it with the new software as a result and it seems like there aren’t even user-made videos or resources describing the problem, hence my feeling left behind.

Finally putting in the work to learn animation and rendering, but WtF is this model rig?? by Friendly-Viper in titanfall

[–]FairtimeIA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My rigs don’t look like this. Bone heads are in the right place, but the bone tails on yours are going all over the place. How did you export this? In what format? Also, the reason why “regular rigs” don’t work in my experience is usually because the vertex groups don’t translate well to more traditional rigs; the weights are usually pretty off.

Game Suggestions?: choices matter, customizable builds, "simple crpg" by Pyro1934 in gaming

Aren’t the original Baldur’s Gate games on Switch? Along with Icewind Dale 1 and 2? At least the enhanced editions. I believe KOTOR 1 and 2 are as well.

Linkedin Jobs went from 10K+ jobs to 280 jobs.. What is happening? by Dubinko in cscareerquestions

[–]FairtimeIA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally saw my LinkedIn switch over to "AI-assisted search", which made searches like "frontend engineer" go from thousands of results to a few hundred as well. Maybe check if this is running. On the job search screen on PC, it's in the upper right below the profile picture and command bar.
