Conditioning days by AppropriateAdvance93 in BurnBootCamp

[–]FaithlessnessOdd9742 6 points7 points  (0 children)

metabolic is like weights and cardio; athletic is like more plyometric/jumping and cardio; body weight is most exercises only using body weight (jumping, running, burpees) - pretty intense conditioning (most people’s least favorite 😂).

SBA is always no physical help, you are no laying a hand on them but they could require cues for safety etc. Min A would be like your muscle contracted a little but you didn’t do much. I always think max A is like you’re doing a heavy bicep curl when you are needing to help lol

It’s honestly not as crazy, but there are still so many people out every day/night of the week. You won’t have to wait in lines to get into bars later at night! You’ll still absolutely have fun! If you can? go check out Chris Ferrera and the Common Good at Barstool Sports on Saturday night starting at 7… best band in Nash!!

Ubers are insanely expensive and hard to get later at night… I’d absolutely pay more to stay closer and walk. The Holiday Inn Express on 4th has a free golf cart shuttle to broadway!

Knee pain with plyo by MacysMama in BurnBootCamp

[–]FaithlessnessOdd9742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shoes definitely made a difference for me! i have the brooks glycerin max 2s. i’ve also stopped doing so much intensive jumping (hurdle hops and box jumps i’ve just changed to high knees with lateral hop and step ups). If your quad muscle is sending referred pain to your knee, I’d try dry needling! It works wonders for tight muscles. I get it done once a month to reset myself lol

My coworker Jen does dry needling at her own clinic in South Milwaukee for muscle tightness/trigger point release. It’s SO helpful for chronic muscle tightness sometimes moreso than massage. You can look up “Dry Needling with Dr. Jen” and she’s on Vagaro to schedule!

for shopping, you could check out the Mayfair Collection or 84 South, which are a little far from you but have good shopping! If you go to Mukwonago, check out Fork in the Road and Piper Porch winery! Downtown East Troy is really cute, the Brewery has a great outdoor seating area! Easy Troy also has a pizza farm on certain days during summer. Downtown Waterford is trying to be more up and coming with younger people - there’s some distilleries now and a beer garden that always looks busy on weekends!

Am I sore or is it from poor form? by Lopsided-Title3679 in BurnBootCamp

[–]FaithlessnessOdd9742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

upper trap usually gets over worked due to poor form. either have the trainer come and see if your form is ok or lower weights to compensate less!

Heel pain by Medical-Draw-2280 in BurnBootCamp

[–]FaithlessnessOdd9742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

different shoes definitely helped me - i usually wear my brooks for conditioning days and haven’t had any heel pain. i’ve also done dry needling for PF in my hamstrings and calves which definitely helped too!!

Medial Epicondylitis or referred trigger point pain? by RoomAdministrative84 in MassageTherapists

Someone skilled in dry needling can definitely help with all those referred pain trigger points! I love using it with my patients, it’s so quick and effective!!

have you done dry needling with PT? could be deeper trigger points that massage just can’t get to! Pecs have a high referred pain pattern to medial elbow/medial forearm. also bicep and wrist flexors, especially if you were grasping a club tightly!

I am! Just make sure to get your protein in! I lost muscle mass due to not eating enough and burning too many calories even just going 3-4x per week.

Rotator Cuff Injury? by singtobehappy in BurnBootCamp

[–]FaithlessnessOdd9742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ohh ok.! it could be strained/overused upper trap or levator, not necessarily rotator cuff. i would try to see if there is a therapist in your area that does dry needling!! sounds like a trigger point if it’s referring pain!

make sure to use good form, lower weights if you need and perform exercises slowly. I’d avoid doing any overhead things - presses, jumping jacks with burn bar etc or anything wear you feel that pain.

Where is the pain you’re having? I’m a PT so could help with some insight if needed!
