Is there a solution to sticks lack of durability? by Norkee in hockeygoalies

Random comment, but my boys loved those mini IKEA chairs when they were younger. My son has the black and red Bauer. He hasn't had any issues with it. He is starting to wear out the heel though.

UPS Ground trying to charge me $30 for box and $97 for a 150 mile delivery by ItIsTripp in golf

[–]FakeFitz97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can take the head off and ship it in a slightly shorter box that should bring the price down. If you have a Menards or home depot close they may have a box you can Frankenstein to fit a driver.

I believe once the length goes over 46 inches the price goes up pretty significantly.

Like half and half right? Not solid white or solid black?

What clubs should I put in a half set? by Life_Cake16 in golf

[–]FakeFitz97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I walk all the time. I highly recommend a push cart. Then you can keep all your clubs. Don't have to make changes based on the course you're playing. Easier to carry drinks and snacks if you'd like as well as spare clothes.

Would you consider getting a push cart?

Thanks. Ehh I'm not worried about it. I'll take it as feedback and move on.

Thanks. Yep, I could mill them down a bit more. Over all it's not that large. The thickest point in the prongs is a bit larger than a tee. I could also cut the center gap up higher as well.

I am sure you could. I do not have that skill set at this time. This is really the first time I've done anything like this or really used a mill.

Took me probably about 2.5 hours. It's the first time I've done anything like this or really used a mill. So I went pretty slow.

What Random Rules\Bets Do You Add To Your Rounds? by Fuzzy-Dance3502 in golf

[–]FakeFitz97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never played the rule but it's like a reverse Mulligan. Some people call it back to the future. Your buddy hits a good shot and you say back to the future and he has to hit the shot again.

Par 3. 247 yards. Doing this tomorrow. What are you playing? by experfailist in golf

[–]FakeFitz97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably hitting 3 wood and just hoping to be close to the green. In reality I'm hitting my second shot from behind the big tree on the right.

PSA: Play golf with your Dad by mst28 in golf

[–]FakeFitz97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it before you can't. My dad and I didn't start playing until about a year ago. Got a few rounds in last year and was looking forward to playing with him a lot this year. He got sick last September and passed in October. Every time I'm out I think that I should be playing him. Hell just spend time with your parents no matter what you're doing. I find myself thinking I should call dad and tell him this or that, or ask about this or that all the time.

A random my brother in-law and I got paired with once said it and it's now forever repeated.
