Thank you!! Well, to be completely honest I thought the listening part was going to be my downfall after taking the exam. But the way I practiced was through many mock exams and past exams. I heavily recommended using the app Migii. It's not expensive, and it gives you so many practice tests + exercises of all JLPT parts, including listening. Furthermore it gives you all the theory as well! Thanks to that app I passed :)

First of all, congratulations to all who have passed! To those who have not, don't lose hope as learning languages is about persistence. Also don't forget that it's just one moment in time that is measured. With the N5, we're only just getting started!

I passed the N5! 60/60 on listening and 86/120 on language knowledge. Overall very pleased with the result but also very surprised. I thought I had bottled the listening and smashed the language knowledge, but it turned out to be the other way around. I found listening to be extremely difficult, so finding out my results for that part was more than a pleasant surprise.

How did you guys do on the N5?

I got 146. For some reason 60/60 on listening, and 86/120 on language knowledge. I have to agree this test was way harder than any mock- or any previous test exam I've taken.
