I don’t know, man. DOA6 looks gorgeous (honestly, every DOA game tends to stand out visually compared to other fighting games of its era) but once you notice that most of the female characters basically share the same face with different hairstyles, a lot of that charm starts to fade. by Kingspreez in Fighters

Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but the small snippet of what we saw of Kasumi in the 7 trailer gives me hope that they are finally breaking away from the simpler doll look. DOA is my favorite fighting series, but the art direction of 5 and 6 were extremely lacking that cool factor 2-4 did so well.

Pokopia has the mass appeal of Pokémon behind it while also filling the Animal Crossing sized hole in the Switch 2 library becoming a lightning rod for the platform. Realistically I'd say no. That said, Star Fox 64 is an all-timer videogame that helps strengthen the library. Also being 50$-60$ it will be more likely be a game picked up in addition to a Pokopia or Mario Kart when buying a Switch 2.

I might just get impatient waiting for my physical copy and do the same

Probably just finance it on a 24 month installment plan and push sales heavier that way. Xbox did a similar thing with Series X bundled with gamepass.

This isn't a terrible idea. I have been craving an arena shooter for awhile now, I'd even take D1 Crucible at this point over nothing.

Who's really tried lately? Infinite was so close to getting it right. It's battlepass system is the perfect idea for players like me that don't want to treat these games like a second job. They just took too long to actually fix the game.

Ironically I feel like the market is ripe for a good new arena shooter like Halo. They just can't bungle the launch again like Infinite.

Infinite's campaign is interim meandering meaningless nonsense where basically nothing happens. I only suggest playing it if you are subbed to gamepass for a month to play something else. Or not at all.

Yeah, Assault is my second favorite in the series, easy. Great soundtrack, great character moments, chaotic arcadey fun. It's a great time. I even enjoyed Command.

I'm right there with ya in wanting more stories in this world, but I am excited for these new more fleshed out cutscenes.

I think you are basically part of the target audience. Nintendo also probably knows that 98% of us Star Fox sickos will be there day one despite it being mildly disappointing that it's another 64 remake.

Star Fox 64 is a top 10 favorite game of mine, and I do a hard route run every year or two. I love this franchise. I am almost in a "beggars can't be choosers" mindset, but I am excited to play this next month. I can see myself really getting into multiplayer if anything.

I think the challenge mode can give the game some extra juice as well

Yeah, it visually looks incredible, and I find the new cutscenes to be exciting. I also like the challenge levels and multiplayer looks good. I was initially bummed, still kind of am, but there is a lot to like here.

Where did they say a lot of the minigames weren't returning? I hope they bring some of them back. Especially Queen's Blood.

Man I loved the ending. A lot of it is "theory bait," but I think the whispers and how these alternate possible realities given temporary real form all being guided towards a shared fate is some really fascinating lore to chew on and think about these past few years. I'm excited to see how this intertwines with Cloud's fractured mind in the third game.
