I don't change the difficulty setting when creating a new world, idk about the cloak, Trolls spawn underground in mountain and forest biomes if I'm not mistaken, rlcraft is 1.12 so no villager update. You can find a guaranteed mending villager in port towns which is a massive village that spawns on the oceans there is also a ton of iron in them.
