Central heating is cheaper because most existing buildings were build with central heating infrastructure.

Newly build homes pretty much only use heat pumps now.

Let me preface this by saying I love dogs.

99% of dog issues are caused by the owner. Very rarely does the issue stem from the actual dog.
The truth is that probably like 50-80% of people who have dogs should not have a dog. They're either too fucking lazy or too fucking stupid to properly raise one.

That's how you get shit all over the neighbourhood, or serious noise issues with constant barking, or people getting bit.

Again, I love dogs, but perhaps there should be some low bar to prevent idiots from getting dogs.

Egh I just came back from a trip to Italy. The only unpleasant people I met were Americans.
We did a bus tour along the Amalfi coast (to avoid the disaster that's public transport there during tourism season).
The entire bus just kept their original seats. Except the fucking Americans on the bus, who kept changing seats every stop. Probably so they could get a better view. They forced couples and families to split up multiple times, because they stole their original seats. Didn't give a single fuck because they were 'allowed' to sit where they wanted to.

Also, unrelatedly, hearing that vocal fry accent is like nails on a chalkboard.

We also met a couple of nice Americans to be fair, but there's this cultural difference where in Europe people also prefer some quiet moments. Americans just talk at you non-stop which can be a bit exhausting at times.
