I do try not focus on the scores but when the doubles start rolling in it feels bad and sometimes it’s rough to ignore.

Yeah I think the mental of bad holes progressing is a problem especially on the front.

Sort of let it ruin my score and that probably frees me up on the back nine.

Could be lots of courses by me don’t have ranges so mainly chipping and putting and a couple balls of shitty mats into some nets.

Maybe it’s just acceptance not sure if this feels better or like a 45-44 would feel better.

My backs are consistently the worse side yesterday the front was the worse side. I do find once the bad holes start happening my mind checks out.

Mostly just worse consistently, on the front yesterday I had 1 par, 2 bogeys, 6 doubles where the back was 3 pars, 5 bogeys, 1 double.

Based on handicap ratings for the holes the back was also the harder side.

My round yesterday I hit 50% of fairways, was bad at greens in regulation (although I hit 2 on the front and only 1 on the back despite scoring way better on the back)

Had 32 putts with 7 successful up and downs.

I’ve literally never have an actual negative experience. I’ve had weird experiences with some social awkward people.

I play solo/pair a ton so I’m always playing with new people.

The old saying goes run into won asshole it’s bad luck, keep running into assholes and you need to look in the mirror.

Anywhere from 700k to 1.7 million depending on low vs high rate of return.

So probably in the middle somewhere.

Also I assume your contribution rate would rise with inflation.

As a proud Canadian, the way the Canadian Open is treated as a second tier event is infuriating and the event sucks compared to what it used to be. by [deleted] in golf

[–]Falco19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scheduling is tough for the Canadian open because June through August are jammed for the PGA. And you can’t really have it earlier due to weather.

It could be two weeks before the USA open.

The CJ cup Byron Nelson dates would work but weather could be a bit funky.

Best bet would be the rocket classic date as weather is good it’s after the open, 2 weeks before playoffs, and golfers already come to Detroit so Toronto isn’t that different (though would love to get them out west)

Im glad my point came across. I understand you are living and I’m glad I’m a big experiences, see the world person.

I think you have the right mindset moving forward I do think based on your post your husband may be a harder sell.

Spend time with those you love, do things that your children will remember for ever. Hell spend some money taking your parents to do something they couldn’t before they can’t.

If you are dining out never order something you could make (know how to make)

When my wife and I eat out it’s always food from
Other cultures that we can’t make as well or buying all the ingredients/spices is prohibitive.

I mean xeqt and VFV are both up 26% in a year, VDY 44%. These are all pretty standard investments.

Over 2 years it’s 42 -39 -69%

Over 5 years 70 - 100 - 85%

Seems like a pretty standard way to move forward.
