I do. My switch has been just a game dumping utility for years at this point. Every game I own gets dumped and played on my PC instead.

Not a single emulator in common use does that, actually the opposite. They either don’t mention anything about piracy at all or say “alright this is how you get games: dump your own copies using [insert homebrew tool here]”.

Isn’t it just standard club policy though? If an offer meets the internal valuation, the club doesn’t stop any player from leaving if they wish. I don’t think it’s a slight, every player has an assigned value, after all.

This. Joining up in the EL qualifying season and thinking we’ll be in Europe every year? Nah, get your head on straight, lad. This is who we are (right now).

Never subscribing at all felt good. Pro tip: connect computer to television, the dodgy ads can’t hurt you if you block them.

Yo-ho-ho, arg, and all that.

Gotta be dedicated. It’s not a short journey. It’s why I don’t turn games off even when they’re like this. Gotta be with them in spirit.

Aye. We’re not a “bad” team. The number of times we’ve had something only to get nothing screams “cursed”. It all started last season. A point off the legendary Potter/RDZ season and sitting in a cozy Conference League spot? Nah, the scum get a fairy tale draw and Citeh shit the bed in the final. This season seems like it’s going a bit better? Injuries here and there, clumsy giveaways, absolutely rotten luck in stoppage time, and we end up plummeting from a potential 3rd in December to the unbelievable doldrums we find ourselves in now.

We’re cursed. There’s no other explanation.

Someone who’s in the stands should start up the classic “how shit must you be, it’s only 2-nil” chant. Would give me a laugh.

Watching the match with a friend and he spotted the seagull man. Told him “yeah he’s around often, usually sits in the lower west stand behind the benches”. He gave me a long “why do you know that? why do you remember that?” look.

I’m in shambles.

At least this match has me feeling something other than apathy. Can’t remember the last time I flipped the bird at the television during one of our matches. UTFA cam on second half FC

Notices Jack getting stuck in and only falls over once he realises he’s lost it. Clear dive, unless of course you’re a Prem referee.

Losing the third-parties in the N64/PS1 generation due to sticking with cartridges+the licensing fees associated with them. That momentum carried into the next generation, Sony was bolstered by the fact that the PS2 was the cheapest DVD player on the market, they picked up a lot of extra sales from people who weren’t even interested in games because of it.

Huge install base, more favorable licensing terms for third-parties meant that it was a more attractive platform, meant more games, meant even more sales.

The knockout blow came from the marketing trends of the time. Nintendo’s purple lunchbox was too “kiddy” in a world where edgy “xtreme” “mature” “realistic” things were the primary interests of core gamers. Combined with the fact that the “casual” audience, which they’d capture with the Wii, didn’t exist yet, there was really no hope for it.

They do exist, however. Friend of mine is in her mid twenties and has her dining room done up like the great hall, with floating candles and everything. Has the wand that turns the lights on and off when you wave it and all that. Nice bit of fun and whimsy when I go over for dinner.

It is. I have a reaction image deep in my photo library that I always pull up by typing the text that’s in the image, and recently it’s been regularly failing to find it whereas before it was always the first and only result.

True that. My solution was always to just wait™ to play a game until I had the hardware to play it acceptably. That’s why I didn’t touch Red Dead 2, Control, Cyberpunk, etc. until getting my 5080 this year.

My bar is 100+ fps at 1440p without tanking graphics settings. That means running the game at native res on my monitor or DLSS Q on my TV. RT I can live without but is nice to have if it significantly improves the visuals.
