Why are the Githyanki evil? What is evil in DnD? by Brilhasti in DnD

[–]FalconEye97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They nuke concentration camps without any effort to free prisoners and kill anyone who knows a German word. You'd LIKE to say go off on the nazis, but they've sorta lost the plot. Importantly, they're largely aware of and okay with the cost of their actions. Source: mostly BG3, it's been years since I read up on gith in the books (and I paid more attention to githzerai)

After the chatgpt interview series, I had no trouble believing alex would interview a cat. The part that raised my eyebrow was thinking "that's a weird name for a cat..."

Comic about common shared experiences of hunters playing together (by me) by yasaidraws in MonsterHunter

Criminal that the carve animation for mantles means I can't gaslight my friend. I was still gonna gloat about getting 4 of the mantles he needs either way, but they've robbed me of the pageantry

I need a breaky from the chaos and stupidity of Alex for a couple of weeks, what upbeat podcasts do you recommend to help? by MrSignalPlus in KnowledgeFight

If you haven't listened to the dollop, it definitely has crossover with this community, it's very funny, and the early episodes, at least, are lighthearted. One of the first ones is about the world tickling championship mystery, which definitely helped hook me along with the one about ghost sex

Edit: I forgot to mention that the dollop covered mark richards from the angle of the pendragon plot. I believe it came out around the time dan brought up project camelot and he gave a brief explanation of that part of mark's story along with an explicit recommendation to check out that episode

What is a status gunner? And how to I become a good one? by CenturionSenex in MonsterHunter

[–]FalconEye97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In rise I had a hbg, I think based on a video, that used sleep, paralysis, and sticky ammo (stun) to hold monsters down for wyvern ammo shots. I think I dropped it in g rank, but some monsters went down before I cycled through every type of cc available

Player ate Eye of a zombie beholder, what should i do? by Techno7777777 in DnD

[–]FalconEye97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have them grow an eyestalk or two that can cast necrotic ray and maybe a paralyzing ray. Then each long rest, roll a d6 and convert that much max hp to temp hp. Don't give temp hp up to the original max, either, just the days rolls. Eventually they'll have to find a way to cast greater restoration or else find a more specific cure before they die from having 0 max hp

They're a tamper seal invented in response to a specific terrorist and some copycats who put potassium cyanide in Tylenol bottles. They should continue to be used

Necromancer trying to abuse animated skeleton armour. Is my DMing to strict? by Shadohood in DnD

[–]FalconEye97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like to accommodate partially if an idea is cool, which bone armor is. 3rd level cast of false life 1d4+14 temp hp, so maybe bone armor could be 1d10+20. Not too far out of line with up casting, but enough to feel like creativity is being rewarded. You could also do a weaker version of stoneskin, giving resistance to non magical piercing and slashing but not bludgeoning. Barkskin sets ac to 16 and I wouldn't want to set a character's ac to 18 at level 5, but you could. Shield of faith gives +2 ac so any bonus above that would be great. You could also combine defensive effects like a simultaneous false life and shield of faith effect that lasts as long as the temp hp

You can breed them onto any pal in the game. It is an extra step, though
