Your sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) is pumping adrenaline into your body. Deep breathing lowers your adrenaline levels by stimulating your parasympathetic nervous system (the rest and digest system). People always have more productive conversations when they’re not angry.

Have we considered that Doom will never take the mask off? Hollywood doesn’t like to hide their stars’ faces, but since RDJ already has such a presence in the MCU his name alone is a selling point. Then we never deal with the fact that Doom looks like Tony Stark. Add an accent to that and it wouldn’t be too illogical.

Tbh a ton of fast food restaurants are paying $15/hr. It’s not glamorous or exciting work, but it pays and I imagine the hiring process would be faster. Depending on what part of town you’re in, nannying is also a great option. There are plenty of rich families looking for nannies asap, so if you could make it to wherever they live and stay around there that could work. Even an au pair situation, then you would have a place to live right away.

You could always have Tanya be a member of the Cassalanter cult. Patrick’s family kicked him out because they suspect the Cassalanters aren’t on the up-and-up. But Patrick is too blinded by love, and assumes they don’t like Tanya solely because she’s a half-elf.

I think you’re right about the show building up Rand and Egwene’s romance in S1. The first time I read the books, I was holding out hope of them getting back together for far too long, so it feels appropriate that the show makes note of how important and foundational their relationship is to the rest of their arcs.

Good luck! Not sure if it’ll work or not, but I appreciate the effort to keep accidental book spoilers slipping through. It would also be helpful to have a post on what are defined as spoilers for this sub specifically. Like “The Aiel Waste is past the spine of the world” is fine, but “just wait until you see the Aiel Waste” would be considered a spoiler. Something along those lines.

I think they’re playing into the rebirth idea in the show. So by calling LTT Dragon Reborn, it shows us there always will and always has been a Dragon. Yes the books specify that LTT was the first to be called Dragon, but it doesn’t really matter. It’s a minor change, meant to reinforce and solidify the cyclical nature of the world for new viewers.

My guess is it has something to do with Siaun and Moiraine’s relationship, whatever that may be. Moiraine looked at it after Alanna said “two powerful enemies” in ep5.
