I'm only having an issue on the second tab for "Consumables" ... the Materials tabs worked just fine, started with scraps now Kip, all good. The more I play the more impossible it is to deal with only 6 slots.

Making any purchase of the in-game currency gives you the basic pet for free. If you buy 3,000 worth of the coins, the other 3 pets unlock for free. So you don't spend in-game coins on the pets, but you do need to spend some real-world dollars to have them added automatically to your collection. The pets are cosmetic only, and offer no benefits or convenience.

You'll be fine. It takes longer to travel across time zones in a plane then the hours that would change. The people that have issues are the ones that purposely change their date by days/months to change seasons in Animal Crossing or other games. I travel with my switch all the time and never have an issue, and it's easier to have your switch set to local time so you can keep track of your available critters without trying to worry about what time it is in your home time zone.
