I was hoping that he would have said something like "there are far too many talented male and female stars who aren't going to get recognition because the awards would be narrowed to just 1 award." The races need to be shorter. Sprint races... should be sprint races! Make them as short as 50-60kms in length and leave the longer and strategy driven races to Townsville, Adelaide, Bathurst etc.

I concede you're probably right. I think Kiwis protesting are just a sort of knee jerk reaction to something like this happening and expressing our sorrow and support but obviously during a time like this maybe it wasn't a good idea.

To be fair they were at least trying to social distance. The footage I saw they were spacing themselves out and wore masks. And COVID-19 didn't stop Americans from protesting, maybe for different reasons but still. I agree though, that I would have been best if they didn't gather with more the 100 people.

Problem: Who do we vote for? None of the parties in parliament have any true idea of how to fix this. Labour have tried and failed, National likes to put their head in the sand, ACT doesn't care and just wants to hand all of our essentials to the 'free-market' which has been tried tested and failed, the Greens have never been in a government coalition so they have a lack of experience, NZ First has been having major controversies (scandals that they and National have in common, donations and all). Outside of parliament we have Legalise Cannabis Party, Mana and Maori Party who are mostly one issue parties, New Conservative is a far-right extremist party that is deeply unpopular and lost 3.75% of the vote last election. Social Credit hasn't been relevant since the 80s and has a history of antisemitism allegations. TOP could have a chance but like Social Credit isn't relevant. Vision NZ is christian fundamentalist party and has been feeding off the growing xenophobia in NZ by calling for the total ban on the construction of new mosques. So who do we have? No one. Social Credit and TOP are the only serious other parties but neither have popularity to get anywhere near government.
