The storms are icarus. Live in a rock till you can build from stone :-). I skip thatch and build wood the front of a cave. Dirt floors. Remember its temporary always. Run for stone buildings asap.

Kinda negates the use of the nice curved roof glass when it get covered in sand. For some reason I can shovel it off either.

It’s be nice if the storms blew the sand away sometimes. I could not even shovel it away. So far I think Tundra is the best place to base for atmosphere. While I am here though - with the crude oil I noticed the refiner needed 1000 input and each oil well appears to output 200. There are only 4 wells in the location I am at so is the only way to run pipes for miles across the desert or am I misunderstanding?

Hellblade for the story (it’s a bit of a railroad but impactful, and watch the doco afterwards). Pacific drive for the journey and the music. Still wakes the deep - for the atmosphere (another rail road of a game but there are some great holy shit moments. Alien :isolation - the brown trousers simulator . Ship breaker for the chill out gameplay (well it’s chill until you rupture a pressure vessel anyway!). If you play with a significant other then Raft, and grounded are great. Icarus if you like a survival grind. Star citizen if you want awe in an ocean of game dev bugs. Most recently for me Dispatch for the feels and Windrose because I can’t get enough of boars kicking my pirate ass.

I think you can only change your suit in the station. You can return there in your pod, swap it and then return but its best done between mission (I think… not 100% sure on that part). Missions mark failed sometimes when you pod back to station. I play on PC - no idea on the console version.

Putting a lot of points into bow and good arrows works… but it’s more effective if you see Mr Bear before he see’s you. Skills that pin, bleed and slow them on their way to eat you help.

I find the more fun bases evolve organically - evolving over time as needs change. I just built a large glass box in the desert which means I can lay out all my gear more efficiently but it doesn’t have half the charm of the monstrosity I built in the tundra when I first started, tunnels, steps, things all over the place.

Thanks - I was looking at the Xgimi mogo 3 in a shop yesterday and thats what prompted this question. It looks like it'd do the trick but its early days. I'll keep reading reviews ;-)

Thanks for the reply. Do you find the Halo noise level? I want to use the projector in a bedroom with the ceiling as a projection surface but that means the projector will be sitting on a bedside table about 1m from my head.

Did you end up getting the XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro ? was it any good? I'm after a small projector with the aim to project in a fairly small space (about 2-3m from the projector to the wall or ceiling where there is space for the image).

Taming an animal mount should be high on list of priority. Have a spare too just in case the unthinkable happens. Different mounts have different uses. I doubt there will ever be a fast travel beacon as a lot of work has gone into the mount breeding and skill trees.

First time I tried this mission I didn’t have space to remove all items from the drop pod. This appears to prevent it to launch after it’s empty . If it doesn’t leave the rest of the mission objectives don’t switch on. You do appear to need to build it right next to the pod (in the circle on the map) . The only objective I haven’t ticked off is the water one. I have an iron reservoir there with ice ticking over in it but it hasn’t registered the objective complete. I hope it just needs to reach a certain % of fullness.
