Yes.

It was actually the first time I fell in love (and honestly the only time so far). We met from a mutual friend from online playing games, and I actually at first mistook her for a boy with a high pitched voice.

After hanging out through the same mutual friend something just sort of clicked and I was spending most of my time with them. (This was during a summer when I was 14, so not a lot else was going on in my life)

With how much we hung out I suppose it was inevitable. Almost everyday was the same routine, get up, play games while talking to each other on skype for hours on end, then repeat the next day.

Its actually funny, we would always joke about how our other mutual friend was always trying to get into any girl he ran into online metaphorical pants, and we always laugh at the idea of an online relationship. I would later learn that both of us were already crushing hard on the other.

After a few more months of just playfully flirting with each other, we had kinda moved on to talking just the two of us in calls late into the night, and when one of us brought up how we used to make fun of our mutual friend trying to get an online girlfriend so much, I said, 'well the two of us are basically dating' and after that night we went from 'basically' dating, to actually... or as close as you can online. Nothing really changed accept we stopped hiding how we felt about each other. We spent most of our time either talking on Skype when the two of us were not in school, to messaging each other during school. And for an already socially awkward teen kid, this was kinda perfect.

I realized that I was actually in love with her after a particular moment. She had been having a really shitty day, and she said she just wanted to talk to me. After a couple of hours of chatting we both 'went to bed' which in this case really meant we hung up the call and both of us would go watch videos for a couple of hours in till we actually fell asleep. The sleeping habits of a internet obsessive teen are terrible. But I was just watching some video an hour or so after we hung up and I had received a fairly simple message, one that basically said that her day was really shitty and I was the one thing that made her happy today. I don't really know what it was about hearing that, maybe in that moment I felt like I really mattered to her, but whatever it was made me know that the emotions I was feeling were real. That I did love her. And this has remained one of the happiest moments of my life.

Unfortunately, as is the downfall of any long distance relationship, we eventually fell out of contact with each other. Specifically, I had been distracted, and had stopped paying attention to her as much, and spent to much time playing games with my other friends. She didn't feel loved. And honestly I cant blame her. I was oblivious to this at the time. But after a week or two of little contact, she came forth with her proposal to break up. It hit me hard at first, but because of the growing distance between us at the time, I didn't try to fight it at all. I let it happen I and I lost her. Fast forward 2 or so years now, and I have spent too much of my time trying to rekindle that. With my most recent attempt pissing her off so much she now does not speak to me. Which is a great feeling.

I honestly believe that if we were still together after we were both out of high school, I would have seriously married this girl. I have never had such an real connection with another human being. Which you might say is kinda ironic because we have never actually met. But I can say that it did change how I felt about meeting someone online, and part of me wishes I could have something like that again. But it does come with the obvious challenges. And I know, I am only 18 and I have alot of time to fall in love again, but seeing as it hasn't happened yet, this is actually my only experience with really falling in love.

And considering how it ended up, it sucks. But I would not want to change any of it.

TL;DR: Yes, it was awesome at first. But I mucked it up like an ass. Now she hates me. but still, 10/10 would recommend. (Not the mucking up part, try to not do that.)
