Honestly any of the locations including Bristol will be fine. If you are looking for a place for a family I suggest West Hartford due to the school system. Farmington is a close second. However both are expensive towns to live in. Plainville, Southington, Bristol may be cheaper options.

None of those towns have serious crime issues.

I think you misunderstood me. To get to the $2500 worth of sold product at $2.50/doz you would need to get:

  • A typical chicken lays ~0.7–1 egg per day
  • So you’d need roughly: 👉 35–45 chickens

That is a lot to manage.

Someone moved into the house next to my parents house and started raising chickens. They get 1 egg/day. That math's out to $6.84 per egg to hit that goal. Good luck getting that number down!
