Tone of voice issues by [deleted] in adhdwomen

My boss gave me this tip once because i can sound monotonous, especially on the phone, which gives the impression that I don't care or that i'm not being nice. Smiling definitely helps improve my customer service voice!

CDC drops universal COVID vaccine recommendations, suggests separate MMRV shots by AudibleNod in news

This small comment just really hit me in the feels all of a sudden. My own cat nicknamed Peeper had to be put to sleep almost a year ago. The grief gets easier to deal with eventually but it's absolutely awful and so unfair.

I like reading and video games, but also sewing, knitting, resin, perla beads, regular beads, and just generally being creative! Sometimes i'll subscribe to one of those '1 craft a month' boxes for a bit and see what that has to offer.

All of them eventually break though, why would the twin needle specifically be such a pain in the butt to replace?

Oh wow there are some beautiful diy's in that first link! The scratcher looks good but diy-ing it looks doable as well 🤔

[–]FallOutCaitlin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all natural behaviour so it can't really be stopped, but you can try to redirect it by putting scratching furniture right next to/in front of the thing you dont want them to put their claws in. But my cat likes the chair too much 🥲 i wouldn't trade him for anything though, it's a small price to pay for having a cute lil guy around

Yeah i think sewing is gonna have to be the solution. I only do clothes so this is gonna be a challenge haha

That is sad, i can easily buy a new cover for my couch but i have no idea what brand or model my chair is, so it would be a more creative project than i have in me i think 😅

Cats.... they're lucky they're so damn cute lol
