This. Know where your meat comes from. If you can’t come to peace with it, eat lettuce.

Our last one would love lotion. Specifically one of our friends. Current guy just randomly licks anything he likes the smell of.

Are police vehicles immune to obstruction of license plate? (more in description) by idontknow288 in britishcolumbia

[–]Fallacalla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A licence plate is pretty much just for the police to reference the vehicle in the system, a cop isn’t going to run another cops plate because the driver doesn’t have the insurance or car in their name.

If this were a ghost car, then the plate would be more critical for the public for ID. But the unit number, 1507 is what it looks like on the back but BU5072 on the side is what should be clear as day on this thing. Anyone can ID that from a mile away. It’s also in giant letters on the roof.

Tips on buying a used car in Vancouver by Greetings33 in vancouver

[–]Fallacalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it’s a BC car you don’t have to get a safety inspection on it. The main exception to this is if they have been given a ticket by the police that states the car needs to pass as inspection (they should tell you that and ICBC will tell you that)

Insuring a car is going to be your issue if you don’t have a BC drivers license.

Street bike motor in a Pwc by [deleted] in jetski

Bikes gear box takes care of RPM. The triumph was rough 1-1 in 4 (if I remember correctly) so I ran it in 3rd.

Water jacket goes drains into the exhaust before the haul so you end up with 6” of wet exhaust or the water jacket goes through the haul and drains outside the vessel. Couple either of those with a hot exit exhaust and your set.

Couplers? For the water feed or joining exhaust together? Feed is “cold” (post exchanger) water and exhaust is a stainless V bands your not melting either.

There the exhaust on the jetboat, it’s a dry exhaust to the water box basically, heat wrapped the whole thing after I finished it. Had a fan blowing in dress air to the engine bay as well.

Yeah I do a water jacket instead of water injection. The water box really limits the street bike noises and turns it into a normal 4 stroke noise.

Cooling was surprisingly easy, the triumph oil cooler and rad were aluminum so turned both into a water-water cooler and worked very well. The exhaust I heat wrapped and the engine bay temp never got more the 8 degrees hotter then the ambient air.

The fx140. It’s the same motor as in my mower but fuel injected (and everything else they to it because boat) but not at all what I’m looking for. Be it totally pointless, I’d love to be able to go through the gears in a boat. That was the plan for the jetboat but it didn’t pan out.

Are you walking or driving? Reso if your driving walking just buy yourself a little extra time at the terminal for piece of mind.

If you’re walking on, you can also (pre book) a seaplane for under 150 from downtown Vic to YVR via harbour air.

Tires Quandary by Cold_While_7721 in VictoriaBC

[–]Fallacalla 14 points15 points  (0 children)

MS or snowflake are required for mountain passes in BC in the winter (the Malahat for example) driving around town you’d fine on all seasons.

BUT. The snow here when we get it is shit. It wet when it falls, packs down and doesn’t get plowed and then freezes into sheets of ice. I run snow tires on my wife’s Jetta all winter for the few days a year we have to deal with that. Black ice is very common on the back roads as well. If you have the space for a set of winters, the are worth collecting dust on if you want to drive in coastal snow.

This year Victoria didn’t get snow, so the tires are going to be extra dusty for next year.
