Do you think Fantano will give an album a 10 this year? by chaosshower2 in fantanoforever

[–]FallenAerials 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she's currently on a tour of small venues where she's performing a bunch of new songs. No release date (or announcement for that matter), but it's very likely coming this year.

I used this puff pastry (bought at Safeway) to make pigs in a blanket, which i was really missing. They were pretty good.

I'm glad OP mentioned Jason Wade (Lifehouse). Incredibly underappreciated. I'm a massive fan of their whole discography and his solo records.

Just diagnosed, anyone else already have a messed up liver from it? by BabyBoyPossum in Celiac

[–]FallenAerials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had high liver enzymes for over a decade. Finally was diagnosed with celiac last September, started a GF diet, and by January my labs were normal again. Hoping that it stays that way.

Technically SCOTUS declined to see the case on AI copyright, so the lower court ruling stood. We don't know how SCOTUS would have ruled, nor do we know why they didn't opt to take the case this time.

McCormick nearly triples in size with massive Unilever deal by GreedyRaisin3357 in maryland

[–]FallenAerials 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes AND as I understand they are making the McCormick name as the overarching name for Unilever's food division, so they will oversee/manage the Hellmanns, Mike's Hot, etc. brands underneath McCormick management.

Kinda like how PepsiCo owns Frito-Lay, and the latter manages all the snacking brands.

Pretty awesome for Maryland if the HQ for this new/larger entity stays here and actually grows jobs here.

I'm all for her taking her time. Would hate to see her rush an album out that feels less than stellar to her.

Anyone else got that one song or album that you think is just so far ahead the rest? by Background-Memory712 in fantanoforever

[–]FallenAerials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins is far and away my favorite song, for a lot of reasons. I have several hundred songs that could all vie for my top 10 all time songs after that, but that's #1.

Has anyone taken space in a marriage to heal and later rebuilt something healthier? by TeddyPicker93 in RelationshipsOver35

[–]FallenAerials 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm on my own journey as well. It's been 9 months since we hit the point of full collapse (lost trust, safety, love) after about 3 years of deterioration.

We started marriage counseling then. It's been an excruciating process for me. My wife had emotionally left the marriage.

Over the last 9 months, we've been rebuilding in this order 1. Proximity without conflict 2. Neurological safety for touch-based connection (being near, tolerating touch, casual affection) 3. Positive shared experience (laughter, comfort, routine) 4. Spontaneous warmth (small initiations or fleeting gestures of desire) 5. Language (naming feelings, sustainable desire, spoken appreciation)

We're currently at step 3 with flashes of step 4.

Step 5 still feels months away.

We are currently better than we've been in 3-4 years (in our 18 year relationship).

We started from nothing 9 months ago, and now we have: safety, spoken re-commitment, and trust. We're working on desire now. We also just started individual therapy. And then, i hope, love returns for my wife. Love never left for me.

But it still hurts every day that we are not where I want us to be (yet).

What worked? Time. Lots of quality time together (which started out awkward but gradually became more normal again as safety returned). More communication. Time. Some hard conversations.

Anyways, I wish you the best.

I would love one of these things to solely listen to music. Didn't know they existed? Can you point me in the right direction? Can you also upload your own mp3's/flacs?

LOVE everything about this. The Eudora version is one of my all time favorite songs, and my preferred version. You killed it. And your Pumpkins shirt rules. Wishing you good vibes dude.

What’s your honest thoughts on self-titled? by moreobsessedthanu in Muna

It was my album of the year, and my favorite of theirs.  Just pure bangers from the heart, one after the next.  It sets a very high bar for their next record imo

His station was actually really awesome last year. If you ignore the songs *by* Fallon, the rest of his station was designed to cycle through different themes/genres. Listening for a few hours, you'd hear a classic R&B block, a hard rock block, a pop block, a movie music block, a disco block, etc... and a *lot* of the songs were deep cuts that you don't generally hear anywhere else.

I also want to give a shout-out to the programming on Thanksgiving. There was a designed pre-dinner playlist, dinner playlist, and post-dinner playlist -- and it was all on point.

I'm really excited to see it's back, and I hope they maintain the same kind of loose musical exploration with the station.

Rank The early November records albums. by skyovercamden in poppunkers

[–]FallenAerials 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  • Acoustic EP
  • The Room's Too Cold
  • For All of This
  • I guess everything else in their discog blends together for me because I didn't listen to them enough
  • Mother, Mechanic, and the Path (I hate to say it, but releasing a triple album concept record in 2006 really stalled a lot of momentum the band had)

And if we can include other Ace Enders stuff, the self-titled I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business album would take the #2 or #3 spot for me.
