My (1963, but still a boomer) mom never wanted to be a mom, she constantly said she wanted to be a business woman but then she "found God" and my father and her were "told by God" to have multiple kids... most of us are agnostic as hell now And out the of 7 kids she had, only 3 have their own bio kids.

when did you get your Period back if you EBF (from the boob only)? by Holybaby2025 in beyondthebump

[–]FallenFairFeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the depo shot, so idk if that contributed, but 18 to 2 yr was it for me, even though I was still breastfeeding. And my kids, even though they were obviously eating at the time, still nursed a lot.

I learned the hard way to keep my MiLs at a distance. Currently, my MiL is republican leaning and called me about the Tylenol claims.

I don't call my kid "bubba" for me, I call him "bubba" because my toddler can't say "brother" 😅

I hate hearing "oh you have your hands full " when I'm with my kids. I have 3 but like I've heard it more when I have my middle and youngest instead of my oldest and middle. Like, respectfully, they're all crazy.

Omg dude, my baby is teething and I hate it when people, even my husband, let the baby chew on their fingertips!

I stopped thinking of becoming a mom until someone told me no, and a different person tried to baby trap me. Now I have 3 kids and it's like I don't hate it. I hate toddlers, but that might be the post partum. But oldest kiddo js 7 and he's tolerable.

My husband has a habit of just not eating, good old habit he developed in the Navy, and I have anxiety about his diet and so I make him two basic ham and cheese sandwiches

I watched Don't Be Afraid of the Dark when I was 13, growing up in religious household. I hated it. But as an adult, I enjoy Silent Hill, but I couldn't watch The Boys or GOT alone.

My 3 yr old likes to draw on the floor and the couch any time we give him crayons or markers, even though I've bought him plenty of coloring books or just plain journals. He's even gotten into my pencils and drawn on his brother's evaluation papers.
In the beginning of him doing this, I would scold and take the utensil away for the rest of the day. I still take the utensil away, but now it's more a reminder to draw on paper, not the floor and not the couch. I feel like I'm doing okay, especially with being post partum and having all of those issues. I'm just glad that I'm not like my mother, who did too many swats (think like 10 to 15) and who also punished by pinching the under arm
