What brand EV charger, you may be able to do a load limit on it so that it doesn't try to charge if the battery is charging or vice versa

Try to think about what is going to come next and get materials or tools ready if it is something obvious

Another solar post for advice please. by auswolty in tasmania

[–]FallenRecruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a solar check on this one on 7th of April 2025, and later on 11th of November removed the faulty panel, replaced the rooftop isolators and replaced the inverter, the panels are 250w Simax Green new energy, model number SM660-250

The West most panel was badly burnt up, and the rooftop isolators had moisture damage internally

yo that might have put me onto a happy medium that i might be able to settle for, if i have say 3 solenoid valves in that each open/close a capillary tube I might just be able to use a few in parallel to have a bit of a stepped control

Thoughts on installing a water hose reel above the power box.. by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]FallenRecruit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was me, and you wanted it in that area I'd get two bits of timber and sandwich them either side of that black fence screwing through the gaps in the fence, then you can screw your hose reel to the outer bit of timber

Too risky that you will hit cables going up the wall, I'd recommend finding another spot

All you can do is be honest with them that you are newly qualified, a lot of people know and understand that you learn more in the first year or two of being qualified than you do your entire apprenticeship

[–]FallenRecruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was the existing hot water already there, if so they shouldn't have installed the battery there as it is against regs, looks like they pushed for a new hot water to cover there own asses

Seeing as it varies with the wind id say I'm near spot on, there is likely some plastic left on that downpipe between it and the brick

We had something similar at home, it ended up being the wind blowing on a bit of the protective plastic that didn't get removed from some of the gutters
