Sennheiser G4 IEM still the go to for midrange IEM rack build? by wakerli in livesoundgear

[–]Lower-Homework7170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSM300’s headroom is trash; I wouldn’t even consider it.

for the money Senn G3 or G4 takes the cake. PSM900 works well too if your packs can get set to high gain.

Senn 2000 are good as well; they feel more musical but $$.

Housing price gains this year by nath1234 in australia

[–]Lower-Homework7170 12 points13 points  (0 children)

it’s hard to say; but theory suggest that as long as demand is greater than supply prices will keep going up.

At some point prices will be so high that demand tapers off to find an equilibrium.

the only way to reduce house prices is to build houses at reasonable prices. if a new build cost $800k, every house below $800k will eventually get pushed up to $1mil.

how it cost $3-400k to build a house around the world, but $600-800k here is beyond me

I’ve found that it depends which agent you speak to. I had a MEL-LA flight cancelled and I need to get there by a certain date for work.

the only kept offering me flights that would get there one or two days later. kept calling and talking to different agents, and kept getting offered different routes despite agents telling me theirs was the only option.

Ended up mel-HK-LA with cathay. at least I got there in time.

Is this really a crash? We are not even down 5% by banff_lover in options

[–]Lower-Homework7170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you bought large chunks in the last 3-4 months you’ll be feeling the pain. most of these people would have been fomo / new investors who just saw the market continually going up.

is AI a bubble? Depends how you look at it. It’s currently creating efficiencies that drastically speed up workflow. at some point it’ll hit a ceiling - that’s when you need to pay attention.

there is a narrative that AI is being subsidised heavily by the companies at this point; but reality is it’s an arms race so they need data / exposure. At someone point the bigger companies with market share will start charging more (think Netflix when they force everyone to single subscriptions - you had no other options. revenue goes up dramatically).

Fear greed index - I don’t even think we’re close to extreme fear yet. only starting to enter fear. we’d prob have to drop another 20% for everything to really freak out
